Title: Please Recommend Online Magic Dealer

Timothy - January 25, 2006 11:37 AM (GMT)
Hello,

I'm looking to order a dozen of bike playing cards from online magic dealer and I have never purchased from online magic shops before. Can anyone please recommend reliable magic shops that have cheap shipping rate to Malaysia? Also, which online magic shops do you usually order from and how reliable are they? Custom taxes?

Thanks.

yeap, Lai's psychic.

How about an intro Spike? We like to know who we're talking to.

I think you can find some dealers here in the MMF.
look around the threads under Market Square.

waaah.. Mr Lai... tere lah you, prediction user posted image  ihihikss...

Thanks for the replies! I have visited the Market Square section but I'd also like to know online dealers from overseas, that are reliable. Besides, I find that magictricks.co.uk offers quite cheap bike cards. Has anyone purchased from them before?

Also, say I am ordering a dozen decks of bike cards from overseas, will I be taxed for the items? Has anyone experienced being taxed for purchasing playing cards from overseas? If so, how much is the tax?

Thanks.

Regards,
Spike

Thanks for your analysis, Vincent, I look forward to purchase magic items from you in the future. Meanwhile, I wonder how many members in this forum actually purchase their playing cards overseas? Do most of you get your bike cards from local magic shops or order from overseas?

Sukyi - February 2, 2006 05:18 PM (GMT)
i dunno... i got no credit card or anything to pay for online orders :P

Vincent - February 3, 2006 12:10 AM (GMT)
Hi Spike & Sukyi, I already posted up a good news for all ddefellow magician.Magic Ring is now a official dealer in Malaysia
Now,you can order through MR and the price is the same any internet magic shop, the only different is you only need to pay 50% up-front and settle the payment after your goods arrive within 2 weeks (excluding postal charges).Meaning no more worries wheher your goods will arrive or not and no more credit card hassle
v
As for Magic Ring Club members, the good news is you DON'T HAVE to pay for any postal charges or taxes, only pay the exact price as started in any magic webside (not including cards & accessories) .So it will be a huge saving for everyo ne.

Thank you so much & do drop by if u have any enquiry.

Spike

I've ordered from www.penguinmagic.com and www.hocus-pocus.com before. www.penguinmagic.com has a flat shipping rate when you order three or more items which means that you'll pay the same flat shipping rate whether you order three decks of cards or twelve decks of cards.

Hi M&I, did you ordered playing cards from them? Are any of the items taxed by customs?

M&I - February 3, 2006 07:36 AM (GMT)
Spike

I haven't ordered playing cards from either www.penguinmagic.com or www.hocus-pocus.com, but have ordered other items from them before.

i have ordered from "penguin magic", "magic pro shop" and "magic depot"..
usually i place my order from penguin magic, price is cheap, shpping cost is reasonable and the shipping time is fast also.. about 1 week. so far magic pro shop has the cheapest price for most of the items, but the shipping time is a bit slow. magic depot will ship for free when ur order exceed USD40. hope this help.

Vincent.... could MR carry in more decks?

decks such as:

Aviators,
Fournier 505s
Steamboats
Ramblers
Bulldogs etc etc?

Would be great if can... so no need to order these cards overseas.

Hi everyone, good day to all of you. I need to know how many of you all here are kinda interested to purchase the following card

Aviators,
Fournier 505s
Steamboats
Ramblers
Bulldogs

THe reason I ask is bcos Brendan suggested that MR to carry out those brand of playing card. So before I can actually ask the onwer to bring in those card, I need to know whether can those card sell? Do let me know as I dont want to bring in those card and then ended up on the shelf collectiing dust. Thanks

Hello everyone, thanks for all the suggestions.

I bought one deck of bike cards from isaac when he offered me RM12 per deck (great price!). Unfortunately he ran out of his stock and it may take a while for me to buy any cards from him again. Anyway he included a free e-book for me along with the deck.

Hey Brendan,

I tell you guys, Brendan is just an awesome card collector. Wow, I saw his shelf full of unusual decks and there were very nice.

Hmm..... speaking of collecting decks of my own, hmmm........ I think don't have place to store the decks. -_- - I like to collect things but....... sigh........ unless I have a bigger room to store the decks. <_<
