Title: Buying Magic Books
Banzai - February 12, 2006 02:19 AM (GMT)
Hi,
anyone care to share where you bought / would like to buy magic books from? Bookstores of online? which place?
Thanks.
p/s: me hope to buy "Mark Wilson's complete course in magic" from kinokuniya KL when I go to KL (have never bought online from kinokuniya) and also, I do notice that amazon.com does sell a large collection on magic books but I do not have any experience buying there.

Banzai,
I was at kinnokuniya 2 days ago. They didnt have MW's complete course to magic at that time.
Maybe try Borders' at Times Square or the new one at 1 Utama new wing.
Good luck.

Yes, these 2 books are excellent, but I am still not finish digesting all the contents yet, there are too much to absorb at a short period of time. I always treat these books as references and "Credits" in my works!

Contact Anslem Roy from Magic Annexxe - i heard that he welcomes co-importing with him whenever he places an order from USA. That way you save and share the shipping charges.
Paul Long is in touch with Anslem Roy, why not PM him to see how Anslem can help you order the books in.

Anslem Roy is overseas right now ... back on 2 April if I am not mistaken.
For books, I understand the postage charges make it very expensive because of the weight of books. I wanted to get MW encyclopedia of magic some months ago but am hesitant.
But please contact Roy yourselves personally via e-mail to confirm.

omg dont even try to find magic books at 1utama old/new wing. i've search for them...firstly i ask the gal working there which section would i find magic books and guess what, she doesnt even know...then i just try searching myself with another of my friend. finally we came to the hobby section and i was disappointed to find so little choice and my little means 2-3 books zzz...maybe i didnt search well...but after searching through for more than 40mins i gave up...and not to mention walking from the new wing's mph to the old wing's bookstore is like a mile away
i dont know about now as the last visit to check on magic books was 2 weeks ago.
