Its been a while since we had a gathering, so I thought we might have one in March. I'm proposing the 1st Sunday which is the 5th of March 06.

IMHO, in our gathering there should be an organiser who would in charge to book a place and arrange for each attendant for show their magic. Casual meeting will never improve our skill.

its depends on how much a person want to share with the others...

one woulk normally exchange a trick or a flourish with another. Its no fun going one way all the time.

when small meeting, its good to jam with people u are "in par" with, or with similar interest and skills.

during big meeting... there's a lot of range of people that will turn up.... beginners to advance...thus its more difficult to share openly. most people will only share to people they know well.

So yeah... that's my opinion.

But u guys could also talk ideas... its not ony technical all the time... one can discuss abt the theories and presentation of magic.

btw how to get there ar...you all knwo i not familiar with KL one

To be very frank, its not easy to organise one.
You gotta put up cash upfront to secure a venue, and what if the members dont turn up?

In the past we've had some pretty productive gatherings (eg. the MTR & Fish and Co sessions) so until theres a bit more commitment from members to attend, I don't see the need for formal gathering yet. We sometimes get a huge turnout, sometimes only 5 people.

But if anyone feels they are willing to organise one, I'll extend my full cooperation.

for me, the best method is, to pm / contact people personally thru this forum and arrange for meet up.. sometimes, a small meetup is far better than a big,layman + magician meet up.

My idea is for those members who want to attend the meeting should pay up RM10 as registration fee. And the organiser can either use the money for food or what so ever. I don't think so RM10 will sound pricey for our member here. (In fact some of us are born with silver spoon. haha)

And of cause there are a lot of things we must take into consider, though, I can't give you all any better idea. After all, learn from exprience is the best way I can tell.

Just my 2 cents here. Perhaps some of you may have better idea than mine. There are 'crouching tiger hidden dragon' in MMF.

i might be able to go... depending on where it is... but i'm not willing to pay to go... i mean... i agree with brendan... different people are at different levels... can't necessarily learn from someone just because he's the only one teaching... if i'm a beginner and someone's teaching some advance flourish, i confirm can't learn it. so, i guess a gathering should just be meeting at one place... if need to pay(even if it's rm10), it's like paying cover charge to go to a club d... hehe :P

we're not charging , its just an informal gathering. just show up. and order a drink from wherever we are lepaking....

there's no admission charge in our meetings... unless we have to hire the venue etc etc.

Our gathering is merely to meet new people and to have fun and fellowship together in the ART we love.

I have tendency to teach people flourish moves (mostly basics) when i go for gatherings... :P

If you guys tied this down soon, i wil try to make it for it.

So anyone standing out to take the reins? B)

Hi, regarding the place to meet up, I suggest The Summit USJ, KFC outlet. This outlet has a very spacious dining area (gives you a very open and spacious feeling, not closed like the usual outlets) This is good in case there is a big turn out :) Plus, we could visit Magic Club (located inside the summit)later if we want :D what do you all think?

A get bad experience there...sometimes...if that spiky guy is in charge of the shop for the moment I wont dare to go there...he very scary...very rude...like to stare...dont know how to do business...Steven Im,he rocks man,he's great,very friendly...anyways now got 2 person agreeing with making it in Summit USJ...who else...post now...see what forrestlim say first lol :P

The gathering doesnt necessrily have to be at a magic shop guys, so why limit your choices?

I'm not limiting my choice actually...If I dont go to magic club on the 5th of March I dont really mind coz I can go there anytime.My school is in the office of the Rio De Futsal stadium haha.Can play futsak anytime.Its just downstairs :P haha...Summit also very near anyways you make it anywhere in Subang I can come haha ^_^

Magic Ring sounds good :) Been a long time since I last visited; it was the first magic shop I visited and yup, very friendly and approachable staff :D I'm in if everyone is in agreement, lets confirm this soon.

PS: For time, I suggest 2pm or maybe 1.30pm, after lunch period would be great ^_^
