Hi folks,

This is my brief reviews of Peter Duffie and Jerry Sadowitz's 'CardZones' card magic book.

This book is extremely nice looking hardback book and it reminds me of like a big tome, with two hundred and fifty thick and glossy pages.

The illustrations well illustrated and very large (sometimes they cover a whole page). And yes, there are some missing illustrations, but every routine is explained in details. I have no problem of follow each effects in this book.

This book is actually a combinations of previous Peter and Jerry's booklets, There are, "Alternate Card Magic," "Contemporary Card Magic," "Close-up to the Point," "Inspirations" and also included is Jerry Sadowitz's personal collection "Cards Hit". If you are lucky just to own one of these books you will understand how much valuable it is you own the tome.

There are so many favourite effects I found in this book. Even now, I am still reading this book at least 4 times a week. ;)

In this book, virtually all the material included uses a wide range of sleights. Majority of the moves or sleights, very few of them are explained, but all are from books that almost all card magicians would have on their shelves.

Quite a number of routines included in this book are very straight to the point, most of them are original or variations on some of your favourite effects, and even some you have probably never seen before.

Although this book is not cheap in the market, but when you start reading and researching all the effects and materials in this book, you will think it's worth of your money.

Anyway, this book I highly recommended to advanced card magicians.

The price is US$50.

Best Wishes,
Andrew
