Aik...I'll be in australia studying by then...if you were planning to make it at around June I might make it coz I'm coming back for holiday for two weeks...make it in Subang,anywhere and I'll be there haha...I dont really wanna get into it here BUT however I think comfirmation is the most important...you did say you want it a happening one anyways haha...so I guess you better get someone to volunteer for a the comfirmation whether by call or PM...guess thats about it...hope I can make it :P

i think I've got a venue in mind (sports complex), and it even has a budget hotel for those intending to stay over.

For a small fee, we should be able to rent the venue and cater some food and drinks.

We should also have a proper performance venue for the MMF guys to show their stuff.

Hmm...I wonder which "sports complex you're talking about"...is it in Subang or Melaka haha

I'm proposing Subang Jaya.

If we collect a fee of about RM 20 per head (venue, food and drinks), how many of you keen to come?

Please express your interest, so that we can plan further.

I wish i could attend..but my schedule has been crazily packed and unpredictable now..oh FYI i'm currently in Batu Pahat..doing my final sem the so called senior clerkship..so..being quite far to KL and also magic..sob sob

If we can, see how this coming March, I really hope that all (hopefully) MMF members we would have the chance to meet up.

But..... but...... but.............. guys, before you come or attending the gathering, I think it's our Golden rules, never say "oh, sorry, I forgot to bring my stuffs" or "OMG, not again Michael Ammar's stuffs again"!!! <_< :unsure: - Please la, no eacy easy panky stuffs, alright?

Because I have been attending quite a few times of gathering, some of you turned up but I never watch some of you guys showing your stuffs. :( Sigh.......

I expect each of us entertain their magic to each other and be variety a bit la guys. ;)

hehe... lol... yeah... u heard what Andrew said...

no easy panky stuff.... (unless ure a beginner). Ie.. show us more than just a DL trick. Show us stuff with other sleights, counts, ways to reveal card/s etc.

BTW, Andrew, Ammar stuff is not easy panky man. If i can perform half the card tricks he can perform... ill v happy already. hehe

All we are trying to say is u wanna come for the meeting, prepare a few tricks for us to see.

That will only make a gathering meaningful :P

oops. i think i gotta get something for this gathering i gues.. a bit limited of tricks actually.. haha... mayb i'll make some discussion with SOME ppl later... hihi.. mayb can get some ideas then.hope im not busy too at that time. hope to c ya all soon.

If we're gonna make it a fee-based gathering, which i wholeheartedly agree with, make sure it's more than just a bunch of magicians showing off their latest tricks.

I propose having some of us give lectures on what they know best. I know that some of us may think that we are not up to that level of experience yet, but I think it would be a great thing to do, just a way of sharing our knowledge to those who want to learn.

If the idea of lecturing seems too much, how bout valid demonstrations of our abilities, with an audience. Not just clustering up in groups and doing this and that.

Just my thoughts.

Actually, honestly, I don't just wanna be puzzled. I first and foremostly wanna be entertained.
I don't see anything wrong with those effects, provided you work out your presentation properly, be creative and as original as you can be. Inject your personality in your performances and don't just present the effect word for word like the DVD/book/pamphlet etc. After all, its our performances that count, not how many sleights we use or how difficult the sleights are.

That's what I hope to strive for...and I hope the newbies like me will too...not the newest effects but work to better your performaces and presentation for the effects you feel the most comfortable with.

I hope i got my message out right.

If its in Subang most likely I can go haha...I'll see about it if its gonna be in June ^_^

Hi All,

It' s so great to see MMF being so active.
MTR fully support MMF in term or moral or venue.
DO let me know if you guys want to have a great party and show time gathering.
A special MENU for members base on budget is never an issue.
FREE use of our projector and sound system for those who wanna perform on stage....hahaha...i will throw in a rotating spot light.....and a zoom in camera for the projector if doing close up.
Only limitation is that we can only fit 160 pax.

Great thoughts on Lecture Baalan....
Perhaps some topics to suggest and let Brendan or Moderators decides who to speak.
I suggest that each lecture not more then 20 minutes with a max of 3 lectures...hahahaha...that will take an hour already...Just Food for Thoughts

we should show our magic to strangers on street, get reactions and make a mmf promo vids~
showing magic to magicians is actually easier than showing to those you dont know, coz magicians are never hecklers. We must perform to laymen infront of magicians so we can improve our presentations and showmanship.
the lecture is agood idea though,agree with baalan and vision

Perhaps the MMF members can suggest what they wanna know or their magical needs.
Venue and dates needs to be consolidate and also an agreed amount of budget.
I think RM 20-RM30 should be a good start.
If you guys wanna do in MTR i suggest Sunday and I will discuss with Chef and Bartender to see what we can offer this Gathering to make it special....

Wah...make this gathering in MTR lar...dont make it in KL again!...so far and I believe most of us live in or near Subang...so make it in Subang.Just a lil suggestion for the conveience for many of us here

I need a definite headcount of at least 20 people before we even take the next step. It'll be on a Sunday afternoon, in May or June. It'll most probably be in Subang/ Sunway and a fee (of approx RM 20 to 30) is required.
