Dear All,

Just like to share the wonderful experience we had on the Magic Performance organised by MR and AMA. In short, its one of the best magic gathering I had.

haha... but i know u guys like to know more abt it.

Well... its my first time actually going for a magic show to watch local and international stars in Asia performing magic. It was wonderful. I never expected it to be so wonderfully organised. Just like to thank MR and AMA Malaysia for organising this event. Vincent, well done. Well organised!

There were a number of local performers on that day with special performers such as JC Sum (Spore) and Kieffe (Indo) and Chayo (Indo).

Our local magicians, really showcasted some amazing talents on stage. Wow.. so much to say but maybe I'll explain more later. Wat I can say now is, BRILLIANT performance. We had, fire, levitation, mentalism, bizzare magic, fork bending, balloon magic, comedy, many many types. It was really cool to see a wide range being performed on that day.

There were a number of MMFers present on that day and I even got to meet few MMFers i never met before such as Nazrun, Kevin W, Shahrul, Shahril, and few more... Other MMFers were, Andrew Loh(we went up together), Adrian Khoo, Lai, and then Kamil, Koko (they came later).

My highlight was to take pics and interact with JC Sum and Bob Chua.

Had a wonderful time being a spectator of street magic while seeing JC Sum do his v well presented street magic (cards and coins). This dude has the best showmanship skills. V charismatic and vibrant magician. Bob Chua, man.. even though he is a senior, i tell u... he is just so friendly and he has wonderful touch with cards... some v cool transposition and a vvv cool Three Card Monte... just blew me away.

Man, I wont say so much...l'll leave to some of u guys that were present to comment more.

BTW, Im doing a lil short video of my trip there... will prob share with u guys. See how la... hehe..

Cheers!
Brendan

I'm disappointed I couldnt get to attend as I had really wanted to but unfortunately due to some family matters I had to skip this.

Glad you had fun. Looking forward to hear from the other attendees on your experience. :)

Ho man......... I am very enjoyed yesterday the magicians' performances.

Let me review a little bit about yesterday's performance.

I would like to say more about those 2 Singaporean magicians, JC Sum and Bob Chua.

Seeing Bob Chua performing is like wow...... I haven't seen him perform before so I witnesses his Reset, card Monte, etc.... wow, there are a sheer beauty.

Let me tell you guys, if you ever meet up (especially those of you cardman) Bob Chua, you have to see him perform. I am sure he would be glad to show you his effects and enlighten you card moves. I really hope that I can meet him up again! I am glad he autographed my Ace of Hearts.

Hey, many thanks Lai for your pen marker! ;)

JC Sum, wow, I love his showmanship and his presentation. He performed quite a number of street magic effects, I love his coin magic, very magical as the coins keep on transpose from hand to hand. Very magical.

I like his Kollosal Killer which I understood that he had added some of his ideas in it. Those of you mentalism guys, should check Kenton's Kollosal Killer. He is very friendly and he enlightened some of us his theories and advice.

After the event, we are reluctant to go back as I thought have some times in jamming, but sadly time not permit us to do so. :(

Also, thanks to Adrian Khoo for fetching us back. :)

Andrew

that's a great experience for me, as this is the very 1st time i watched a stage show live.

i really love all the performances but for me the most unforgetable performance was by JC Sum and Mr. Liew

I love mentalism and i had the pleasure of being JC's volunteer for a picture duplication effect. And i enjoyed his fork bending routine very much

As for mr Liew performance, I'd say his routine is very well planned and his sleights are smooth. the dancing hanky looks lively and the floating table was really amazing.

I enjoyed Mr. Bob Chua's monte too. I'll look for him when i go down Singapore

After the performaces we jammed for about another 1 hour and i had my fork bending routine recorded down by Mr JC~ whoa I had a professional as my video cameraman~

I took photo with all of the performers and had them signed on my deck. Good job Magic ring~

on a scale of 1 to 10 i rate it 8/10 for the day. looking forward to the next meeting~

I am back home and indeed enjoyed my visit to the MR Gathering as a invited guest of Vincet and Leow. Great job and congratulation to you Vincent.

Due to my tight schedule, I had to leave early and although a few hours there has make me feel that magic will grow to a tremendous height in Malaysia.

Those young aspiring magicians who had took photographs with me can send a copy to my email.

May the magic light brings your joy in pursuing this art.

hey everyone, sorry to be late.

Just finished one of my exams today. Ok, the show? Brilliant and Very nice! Although this is the 3rd magic performance that i've been too, i may consider this the best so far. a very good job there Mr Vincent and te organizing commitee. Well worth the time and effort. Mr Vincent performed well too. Mr liew did impress me very much as he did the dancing hanky. My favorite favorite since young. And it was nicely done. The most impressive thing is that Mr Liew have not been performing for over 25years but he still have the magic touch.

Cahyo and Kaffie's trick was cool. Cahyo did some spiritual and ghost trick. Very nicely done. He poked a needle thru his arm n there are blood. So called to invite the dead and the spirits. Then he made a table vibrated tremendously without even touching the table. The best thing is, there was no string attached.
As for Kaffie, he did a trick similar to cyril where his head dropped to his waist. Atleast i get to see this live, with my very own eyes.

There are many other tricks but mostly is already told by the rest. After the event, there was a little jamming session but it was good. Atleast i get to see Mr Bob Chua perform in person. His hand is very smooth, hardly any flashes, and a well done. This is the best close up performer that i've met so far. Handling was superb. Really appreciate for the time that Mr Bob Chua are willing to spend with us. And that is one to remember too. thanks Mr Bob Chua for the time.
but sadly i did not manage to get any signature except for chayo's.

OVERALL RATING 8/10. a very nice gathering to attend to. Keep up the good works.

Best wishes and enjoy the finest art in the world, i.e. Magic
