Hello MMF
Any recommendations on which Ring Flight to get??
There are quite a few out there, and most people recommend Flying Ring and Immakulate Ring Flite

I think Gregory Wilson ring flight would be good, very visual...I saw JackLiw perform it,he did it well and visual too!

I've been using Rinky Dinky all these years, as I prefer something where the 'mechanism' is actually incorporated into the 'key', instead of the 'case'.
That way, the effect is customizable : Ring to Case, Ring to House/Car Keys, etc.
Cheers.

The ring flight is a beautiful effect and I like it very much.
I would like to CAUTION everyone ...
Please check out the people you are performing to - especially their characters (if they are strangers) before performing ring flight. Access them through your intuition or whatever.
There are people capable of doing this - when you give them back the ring they will say it is not their ring and also say that their ring is a very expensive gold ring. And they want you to give them back their expensive gold ring - what are you going to do in this situation.
If you are performing to your friends, then it is OK.
Just be careful, guys. Don't be victimised.

I've always worried about ringflight.
My worry is what if the stone (diamond, jade whatever) dislodges from the ring during the , the , (teleportation) move.
and if its an expensive ring..die man.

Aik...maybe next time once I get those ring flight I'll use my own ring...and let them examine the ring first haha

Remember how Copperfield made a girl's ring appear on a pair of baby-sized shoes tucked into his back pocket? That's an awesome ring flight. I heard it was expensive, though. Anyone has this?

That is exactly what I was thinking.
If you ever wanna to buy a ring flight gimmick, just make sure you are trying to archive these goals:
1) Enable you to disappear a borrowed ring
2) cleanly &
3) appear it inside the key case.
If you are not trying to archive any of these goals then you basically don't have to purchase it. You'll just be wasting your money.
However, if you wanna archive the above goals yet cut down the possiblity of any "stone fright" :P then you can go ahead and check out these:
1) Michael Close’s The Ultimate Workers Vol 4 (ultilizing Geatan Bloom’s ring flight gimmick)
2) Richard Osterlind’s Dynamic Mysteries (no gimmick applied)

i seems rather unatural for me to show empty hand like what he did and it looks weird to take off the necklace from behind of your neck.
i wont recomment this one

i think our specs will check if the ring's damaged even when we do a penetration/ vanish
i rather use my own ring and get a duplicate. orelse if the stoen drop of i sure die :P

Hmm...ya hor...then I'll do David Blaines vanish and reproduction ring here did in I think Vertigo...where he drops a womans ring and made it appear in the liqour bottle and had to break it to take the ring out. That was awesome, way to do David Blaine!
Jackliw,thx for the suggestion!

ring flight is one of the effect i love most. as the way it was performed by david copperfield. the one to the baby shoe looks better then the one to the rose. but i heard ring flight is actually kinda risky. there r even a case where the ring came off during the flight, n straight into the sea.. coz the magician was performing on a cruise. Bye Bye ring... but i stil love the effect.
Jarrett Goh - March 28, 2006 02:01 PM (GMT)
Wah...cruise?That ought to be a lesson for him to practice more and not to perform on a cruise. And if he does, dont perform such risky magic haha.
