Hi folks,

Yes! I really like the Buck Twins of their cards flourishes.

I haven't purchase their latest product of DVD or CDROM about the flourishes, any comments of their latest creations????

Best,
Andrew Loh

Brendan Low - February 25, 2005 05:17 PM (GMT)
Gday Andrew,
Buck Twins SYSTEM DVD is really good if u already know the basics flourishes like sybils and all. It is not recommended for those people first time into flourish as there are other vids like showoff 1 and 2.

The SYSTEM has many many cuts... and it shows us two angles in slow motion. SO basically u are learning thru slow motion actions. It may be a bit anoyying as there is not any music at all during the cuts. So just own ya own music and follow. Im working on my spider, madonna 2, sybils and a few others. Still v beginner at it. Hey andrew, come over my place and i can let u have preview of the SYSTEM :).

Im looking forward to jamming with u.

30210162 Pain is Beautiful

Signing in.

Influences: KC Ujiyama, Kevin Ho, Harwin.

Brendan Low - February 28, 2005 06:15 AM (GMT)
Hey 30210162,
Why is Pain beautiful?

Yeah, i agree Harwin and Kev kick ass! They've got some nice originality in their cuts.

Kevin - March 11, 2005 08:10 AM (GMT)
My flourishing style is the smoothness-giving-the-illusion-of-speed kind... I like doing the Buck's speed cuts a lot, as well as some pretty aerials. I love it when I see the look on the face of people who don't know WHAT the hell is going on between those 5 or 8 packets in my hands... hehe.

Jeff - May 29, 2005 07:29 AM (GMT)
devo, brian tudor, buck twins rmy choices. my fav is still brian tudor.. the generation extreme is finally release in penguinmagic. cant wait to have it..

kev, u rock!! :)

Brendan Low - May 29, 2005 02:49 PM (GMT)
yeah tudor does rock man... Gen X is not with any new flourish moves rite? its got magic inside but interms of flourish (cuts) its the same one which is already taught in in showoff vids. pls correct me if im wrong?

Jeff - May 31, 2005 01:29 AM (GMT)
no.. there are many cuts that dont exist in showoff 1 & 2.. i hope by the end of july magic ring wil have it.. just pray.

Brendan Low - June 7, 2005 12:23 AM (GMT)
Gen X is the same as Generation Xtreme rite? The only difference is Gen X teaching was horrible, thus Tudor redo it and re explain the moves. Heard its much clearer in his new DVD.

Jeff - June 8, 2005 01:20 AM (GMT)
yeah.. you're rite. i heard theres some new materials in it also. really hope that magic ring will have it by the end of july.

See? It's ok for zhe_ming to buy pirated stuff, but Aloy and others will jump up and down if I bring up the issues of hypocrisy.

Wtf man? Double standards from kids? wtf?

Kam - June 10, 2005 07:40 AM (GMT)
lol dude...

That is cos you are comparing cultures in 2 different countries.

Just like recently Microsoft allowed the usage of pirated software in Indonesia for a small fee coupled with some other conditions. But this is not allowed in Singapore and many other countries.

Double standards? I doubt so. Bill Gates is smart to do this as he knows the difficulties of cutting pirated stuff all at once and he can eventually earn more in the long run with a gradual approach.

So you see, when u bring hypocrisy up, different people view it differently. The same goes for whatever topics. Its all about perception.

It is those that refuse to accept differences in perception and become cynical and sarcastic that are behaving like 'kids', being refused a dangerous toy from their parents as they are too 'young' to understand stuff.

Theres nothing wrong with you feeling so strong about your own points. But i think its 'hypocrisy' at work when others voice their opinions and you feel that they are 'jumping up and down'. It just shows that you are the one who cant accept differing opinions.

Personally, i feel that without piracy, IT industry will never be able to get as developed or advanced as it is now, so we really do have a lot to thank for in a certain way. But that does not mean its the right thing too. Its like a paradox.

Learn to accept the fact that different people have different views without being cynical and then perhaps you will mature faster and grow out of having a 'kidish' mindset.

So name-calling when you disagree with me makes you any better?

Whatever turns you on mate!

I'll agree to disagree. Agreed? ^_^

MODS: I would like to report a flame. Not that any of you guys would take action.

seif - June 11, 2005 12:18 AM (GMT)

Hey Seif, thanx for ya intro at the intro thread. Pretty cool to have a foreign member in this forum. Hey, if u do come down to Malaysia,u gotta let us know man. Im sure we have some young XCM/flourishers/magicians who will surely like to watch ya skills.

hey seif, have u been to the ulmen trials?

MagicB

seif - June 12, 2005 08:23 PM (GMT)
I haven't personally been to the Ulmen Trials before but I have plans to attend next year. There's actually a 14 year old from Georgia who is attending this year. He's gonna tear it up.

Even though I haven't been to the Trials, I HAVE met Jerry Cestkowski and he is one amazing person. He's taught me so much and we keep in contact with each other discussing moves and such. I'm supposed to see him again this August.

Brendan Low - June 13, 2005 12:10 AM (GMT)
wow... a 14 year old dude going to compete in the Ulmen Trials. wow.... that's so cool. He must be SKILZ. Hey Mykal, are there any vids or footage XCM taken at the ulmen competition? I'd surely like to see what the competition looks like. All i see in the ulmen trial clip at the superhandz site was just showin them with hoods and burning something. that all. i dontt see any cards nor manipulation.

yeah, im sure when u meet with one of the best manipulators in the world, u will surely learn and gain alot from them. That's so great man. B)

"So name-calling when you disagree with me makes you any better?"

From your previous post, I am certain that your 'kid' was a mean of demeaning those that disagree with you so i think its just appropriate that if you can have the righs to call 'names' as what you refer to, why cant i?

So are you practising double standards here when i use he word 'kidish' like what you yourself mentioned? If so, how different are you such that you may point your fingers at others? -_-

I mean, u have to understand that not eveyone thinks or feels like you as we are unique individuals. So if u are going to be sarcastic to all those that have different views as you, then I feel thats quite sad. but if it turns you on, i guess thats your life.

Nope it doesnt make me better than you but i have to make myself the same standard as you to get the message across ^_^ Doesn turn me on at all.

NO ONE at SMC was accusing you of anything when they were stating their opinions, be it strong or 'weak'. But it seems you prefer to undermine those who think differently from you. Matured thoughts? or double standards from kids who like to 'agree to disagree'?

Sorry mods, didnt mean to use this section to flame. But just trying to voice my opinions, just like how 30210162 did when he mentioned stuff like

'wtf", "double standards from kids?".

seif - June 13, 2005 04:54 AM (GMT)
yeah, they actually don't allow ppl to film the trials. I think De'vo was allowed to film himself when he went to the lake and that's it. When you're in the castle, it's just you and the Ulmen4...and you're doing your thing. De made it to round 9 and he exited the castle for these so that's why ppl were allowed to watch. The Ulmen4 are very strict however on what footage can be shown and what can't.
