Description: introduction

Hello everyone,
My name is Larry Barnowsky aka Count Elmsley. I am 55 years old and have been performing and creating magic since I was 11. My grandfather had a store in Port Chester NY USA where he sold some magic tricks in addition to other items. I discovered in my attic when I was about 11 a trunk full of escape equitment including locks, picks, handcuffs, leg irons, manuscripts about escape and Houdini literature. Everything was from about 1910-1925. Naturally I got interested in escape magic. I've been doing sleight of hand since age 13 specializing in coins and cards. I've performed on stage, close-up, table hopping in restaurants, and many other venues. I also collect antique and vintage magic and build props in my workshop including illusions for my own use.
My full time profession is medicine. I am a medical doctor specializing in Interventional and Diagnostic Radiology. I work at a rural teaching hospital in Cooperstown, NY USA. We have interns and residents from many countries and I've taught many from Malaysia who have spent a year or more at our hospital.
My book 21st Century Coin Mechanics is a hardcover book with 315 b/w sharp photos which explain in detail how to learn the sleights and perform the routines. The coin sleights are like nothing you've ever seen. I've kept this stuff private for years from other magicians, The usual sleights are not in the book: Goshman Pinch, Scheider Pickup Move, Shuttle Pass, Edge Grip Technique, Muscle Pass, Han Ping Chien, Gallo Pitch. So what's left? Very powerful original moves which allow you to do deceptive false placements, false counts, incredible acquitments, secret transfers, and amazing visible coin changes plus more. There are 14 chapters explaining the sleights and 11 more chapter teaching the routines. The routines include full script just as I perform it. There is a Companion Video CD which shows what the moves look like when performed correctly. There is also a video peformance of me doing my signature effect, Coins From Vegas. I've sold the book in over 20 countries worldwide with over 300 of the 550 printed already sold. This is a limited edition and will not be reprinted.
I'm very happy to be part of this fine organization. Thank you.
Larry

Guys, Larry has contributed a lot of his creations in the Magic Cafe forum and he is now sharing them with us in M'sia. What a privilege! If you are to check his posts here you would already find him giving invaluable tips in the coin section.
