Jeff Gan - April 7, 2006 03:19 PM (GMT)
I know.
Somehow all the pe** wallets tend to be damn expensive.
I've been wanting one for a long time now.
David Lai - April 7, 2006 07:20 PM (GMT)
I have the STEALTH Assasin, seen the STEALTH(the older version),have Outlaw,Thought Transmitter, and a whole lot of other peek wallets.

Hahahaha
Now that's a REALLY tempting review.... ^_^ But out of curiousity, what does this Stealth Assasin wallet do actually? Read the reviews and all but most of them didn't mention what you can do with this wallet. Even the trailer didn't really help much...David care to share?
And aside from Alakazam, are there any other websites that sell this wallet that ships to Asia? Thanks in advance..
h_A_Z - April 9, 2006 10:16 AM (GMT)
It is a superb wallet but should not be over-used as it can get a little suspicious. Do one at most two effects with it. Or in my case, only use it when you have nothing else with you
h_A_Z - April 9, 2006 10:21 AM (GMT)
It is a peek, billet, Sight Unseen and Out to Lunch principle built into one wallet. This allows you to perform any of these kind of effects using just one wallet. However the OTL part of the wallet IMHO was kind of a let down because it is not as tightly gripped as the Stockholder. Don't get it. It is not worth it :P

You can also purchase The Stealth Assassin from www.hocus-pocus.com who should ship to Malaysia.

David Lai - April 10, 2006 02:46 AM (GMT)
I got mine from Paul Gross of hocus-pocus,pre-ordered it last time, same as Haz.Haz,the OTL prob can be solved by adding more bisness cards and or using a sticky tack for the half card.Haha,my 2 cents.Anyways,if you`re looking for a peek wallet ONLY,don`t get the stealth assasin,it`s kind of expensive.Get the Outlaw Wallet, which in my opinion is superb as it uses a similar principle to SUC or Thought Transmitter. You can also go for mind spy if you`re budget is limited.Ya,Haz is one of the few I know who owns the S.A,another one is Robin who has been using the original stealth for a long time.
P.S:If you are a coin worker and carry coins with you,dun get S.A,it only carries notes.
Exohordon - April 10, 2006 01:30 PM (GMT)
SAW is available at my online shop: www.spellbound-magicshop.com
Shipping will be cheaper from Singapore as compared to the States.
Cheers.
Ning - April 24, 2006 05:16 PM (GMT)
I own Thought Transmitter personally but I've heard very nice things about Stealth Assassin as mentioned by Dave ^_^ Who else has it?
David Lai - April 25, 2006 02:56 AM (GMT)
Haha it`s nice but as Haz says don`t overuse it.Heys Ning I enjoy using the thought transmitter but due to the fact that sometimes I need a peek on stage, the Thought Transmitter `CAN' fail you, only owners will know what I mean. For a fact, spectators(even in the know) can check the Thought Transmitter and still find nothing. It`s peek is based on a very old seance principle yet is so deceptive. The S.A has two peeks, just don`t use it on magicians.Ning,I have an outlaw wallet for grabs(the makers gave me one extra for some reasons). It is a very cool peek wallet.InterestedIt`s almost the same size as the Thought Transmitter and won`t...u know, run out,of,u know.=)
Ning - April 25, 2006 06:12 AM (GMT)
You're so lucky!!! They must like you alot to give you free stuff... can you bing it to the MMF meeting? I'd like to take a look at it, never had the chance to touch one before!
Yeah, I've confidently handed out the Thought Transmitter to members of the audience before and they simply cannot find anything fishy to it. So SA is really that good huh!
Bob Chua - April 25, 2006 08:53 AM (GMT)
For the thought transmitter, I realised that using it in a not so bright enviroment like a Pub will give away. The spectators will notice a silver lining around the folds.
Nonetheless, it's a powerful trick. Penquin also sell a very similar version and it's cheaper.
Enjoy your magic.
Bob

The outlaw wallet has your name customised at the back so if Ning were to buy it, she would have to modify it.
In addtion, the outlaw is a business card wallet and not a wallet. But ya, its a great utility device.
Ning:
You cant hand the SA to spectators to handle at all.
Ning - April 25, 2006 03:06 PM (GMT)
Thanks for the info! I didn't know they actually personalize the Outlaw Wallet like that
Uncle Bob, totally agree with you there! The day I got it, I was so excited about my new toy that I actually brought it with me to a club that evening... and got busted :ph43r:
David Lai - April 25, 2006 07:11 PM (GMT)
Andy,I assume you have the outlaw wallet too.Yes it is a bisness card wallet.I have two of them,a personalized one and a prototype one which does not have any names written or engraved on it.The creators Rick and Gabe sent me an extra 1 and were kind enough to give me a discount on their new booktest. Not advertising here but their products are GREAT and their customer service is simply unbeatable. For the S.A,it is good,if you use it right and it has many other functions besdides being a peek wallet. As for Thought Transmitter,it`s very deceptive, but it looks like a prop.It has no definitive use at all.A note pad with no papers?and everytime you ask a spectator to write something, you got to paste a new post IT note.In terms of deceptiveness(if there is even such a word).T.T wins hands down.My magician friend was so angry to where the `secret' was he bugged me the whole day. There are many peek wallets that offer the same advantage as S.A,if your budget is tight and you are ONLy looking for a peek,I suggest getting the Outlaw.

David Lai

You are right, I got it for free too  its a long story but anyway, its quite a nice and simple card wallet and indeed gets the work done.
I have sanctum and kioku too, but dint really like sanctum. Kioku on the other hand is great.
Anyway, if you want a nice peek, outlaw is fine if you carry business card wallets with you. Otherwise, try getting the stealth wallet which has the stealth peek and is 100USD cheaper than SA. The only complain i have with SA is the way the money has to be placed. Oh well, guess we cant have the best of both worlds ^_^
Jarrett Goh - April 26, 2006 03:36 AM (GMT)
I've seen Michael Skinner using the stealth assasin.I think.James tong gave me the link to the video,he was still very young back then with his long hair.
David Lai - April 26, 2006 09:46 AM (GMT)
Yo Andy, where are you from?love to meet up with you.Anyways love Kioku. The markings on the b****rs are really ingenious.Haha, never thought of that. You know what I mean.Sanctum is `OK' if you use it right. It`s just that gals these days don`t go with the Queen of Hearts anymore....Anyways,back to the S.A,Yeah, the way ur money is put into the wallet is really awkward, and if you use coins a lot, forget getting it,my jeans are full of coins because there is no coin holder in the wallet.seriously, full of it.Micheal Skinner using the S.A?Micheal Skinner passed away some time ago?(correct me if I`m wrong here)and The S.A was invented 3 years back and wasn`t realeased to anyone except a few prominent mentalist, namely marc speelman, luke jermay and peter nardi`s close friends.

David Lai

I am from Singapore :)
Ya i was thinking how come Michael Skinner used SA. Maybe he used the older wallet called stealth wallet? Not too sure tho.
I too found the way my monet sticks out in SA to be a sore thumb and its hard when u wanna take specific denomination out. For me, i usually keep the coins in the pockets even when i was using my previous wallet so its not too bad for me. ^_^
Quality Control for Sanctum is kinda bad. Mine came with peeling lamination and was not in the centre of the lamination.
David Lai - April 26, 2006 12:39 PM (GMT)
Coming down anytime soon?give me a buzz if you do.=)
Andy - April 26, 2006 01:09 PM (GMT)
sadly i cant make it with the rest of the SMC guys this time round, but if i go to Malaysia anytime, i will give you a buzz :)
Thanks!
