Title: Cards For Flourish
Description: Whats ya personal fav?
Brendan Low - February 23, 2005 05:03 AM (GMT)
Would love to hear from u all. Im sure most of all like tally ho, and bikes and some might like aladdins. Are they any good quality Malaysian made cards around? anyone know of any?
Andrew Loh - February 25, 2005 01:15 PM (GMT)
Hi MagicB,
Frankly speaking, I can't find any Malaysian made playing cards which are in quality.
Local made cards are very stiffs, very hard to bend the cards as well as in certain card sleights. :(
Though there are very cheap and I normally use them in practising of torn & restored card effects.
Best,
Andrew Loh

hehe yeah.. i expected the answer. i dont think any msian cards can beat those USPC cards... but if anyone know of any msian made cards that are of good quality and suitable for flourish, do let us know. TQ

Bicycle League - Soft (Soft, easy to manipulate)
Bicycle Rider - Hard (Last longer)
My 2 favourite decks. :) Hahahaha ~
Brendan Low - March 3, 2005 09:05 AM (GMT)
yeah, leagues are great. im waiting to open up my second box hehe. hmm.... i have not tried the tally ho circle one yet. heard that's pretty good. ah.. okok.. decided.. my next deck i open will be tally ho circles.. heehe..
hey...where are the rest of the flourishers???

I like using these:

They're phenomenal cards, really... extra thin, but stiff as hell... clump together, but fan when you want them too... plus, they're extra rare so that you won't see many others posin' around with them! 5/5 is what I give em. I'd give a 4/5 for the price they cost, but I got all 4 of mine for free... w00t.

bikes bicyle back. malaysian made cards are.. i dunno, they're just for playing cards i guess.
and torn and restored tricks :)
Adlan - April 12, 2005 02:34 PM (GMT)
there's a malaysian brand called "Adinda". the materials more or less like Bicycles, and i used to do a lot of tricks with em. But theyre pretty hard to find, the only place i found them was at the Subang Golf Club bookstore. i bought 10 decks, and they havent restocked yet i guess. one deck costs about RM3.80.

Many flourishers like to use Jerry Nugget deck to perform flourish.
Hmmm........ Just wonder how much is in US$???
Andrew
Brendan Low - April 18, 2005 01:26 AM (GMT)
jerrys.... well its super expensive u dont wanna know lol.... people are selling them on E-bay for heaps man... not sure how much... but too much that i think its not worth getting (some might disagree). bikes and tally's just does wonders for me already. its not abt the cards.. its abt ya skill.
Kevin - April 18, 2005 04:32 AM (GMT)

so far i only open up 2. 1 for performing, which is still vry new. and 1 for practising and i dont think i can use it for any longer.. haha..
Brendan Low - June 3, 2005 04:56 AM (GMT)
hey... the BTD are very stiff in nature... good for cuts but cant spring lol.. can but difficult. maybe mine is still very new... 3 days old lol..
do they get much softer they more u play with it? i know normal bikes especially the leagues becomes super soft and super nice to spring. :P
MagicB
Jeff - June 6, 2005 03:37 AM (GMT)
its vry painful to spring a new black deck.. i only do cuts and fans with them. when it becomes old you can see me throwing them everywhere. hehe..
Brendan Low - February 18, 2006 02:45 AM (GMT)
Another deck ive been mucking around with is Caravans. Its only one side AC.
It fans well with powder.
It has a totally different feel to other common decks like Bikes, bees and tally....Caravan cards are super thin and it takes awhile to get use to it.
IMO, it aint v good for card sleight magic but for flourish quite nice! :)
Sukyi - February 19, 2006 03:04 PM (GMT)
i don't do much flourishes(coz i really suck at em)... but i use my bike and bee deck to do so... damaged my ace of diamonds on my bike when i was springing just now... :(
isaac - February 20, 2006 10:54 AM (GMT)
Tally Ho larrrr ..
is one of the nice deck to flourish ..
long lasting. u can spring n b crazy on it ..
it will still serve u well
:D

I dont normally like to spring new decks.... i only spring the decks when the cards get slightly softer.
When deck is new.. its best to do dribbles.... or try the anaconda dribble... awesome!
Sukyi - February 22, 2006 04:38 PM (GMT)
what's anaconda dribble? hehe
David Loh - February 22, 2006 08:37 PM (GMT)
A little to late to answer to the main topic, but I'll still go
with it. For malaysian cards the best for manipulation and
quality would go to Cobra 932 cards. I have one. Been
messing around with it and its still in good condition,
still fans out good etc. Can't find it anywhere else. I would
say it comes close to Bicycle.
The one I got was from a petrol station near Kampung Batu
skatepark. I think its Shell.

Anaconda dribble is a move created by BONE (a talented flourisher in Spore).
Its a long dribble of cards! Maybe oneday I'll show u the move... if i can get it right.. hehe. :P
To Xfourdemon (could u please gimme ya name so i can change ya nick? We use real names in this forum, please read the rules. U can PM me). Do you have a pic of the Cobra 932 deck? I dunno if its the same Cobra deck Andrew gave me.... hmmm... its not really fannable though... lol.
So far I have not seen any msian made cards coming close to Bike's quality.
isaac - March 6, 2006 09:32 AM (GMT)

Brendan Low - March 6, 2006 11:50 AM (GMT)
