Being into magic for such a short time,history and the knowledge of where a certain effect originates from are not on my side,yet I know the magic community in Malaysia is so small,yet the ammount of politics egulfed in it is beyond me.This magician and that magician.etc.Unity towards the trade has never been seen.The things that I`ve heard about other magicians(including myself) has been saddening.Why can`t magicians just be friends?it`s better than being enemies?I`m just restricting the boundary towards Malaysian magicians.No further that that for the moment being.This forum has been a great resource to clear up conflicts and also a great way to make friends among the community.Keep the good work going.My 2 cents.

Many magicians always think they are better than the other,therefore when they watch a beginner magicians video on youtube,etc,they will insult them and say they are lousy,etc.Something that will make them loose their motivation in magic.One of my friends told me magicians should help each other regardless of their age.I agree with him fully.I think those magicians should be taught a lesson till they know what our magic community is all about :lol:

Hi there....well, this is an interesting topic...I can feel here too when someone is better than another person and he feels that this person is so small and does not know anything...this person will try to ignore this person... so what this fellowship is all about? Stingy? Sellfish? Or a place to learn, share and to be united as a strong magician community in Malaysia?? Like me, I know I am still new here...and I might not know a lot of things about magic...for me it is just like another art that I am trying to learn, to spend my time with...just like music or guitar that I have been learning for more than 15 years...I may not grade myself in music or playing guitar as a master, but I am grading myself as a student that is still learning...while at the same time entertaining people around me...so that is why I think "magic" is also part of my favorite art... why would some magician trying to play politics among others? Just like in the music or guitar scene.... people keep on trying to be good than any other...but they share their knowledge... the talent is up to them to polish...should be same as in this "magic"...I think :) Of course, should not teach layman about the secrets...but remember, magician used to be laymen too before... just with the right ethic, than the layman can start learning magic secrets..bit by bit...if he has money...he can go further...if he has no money like me....can go further but slow... huhuhu! Politics...have to face it...coz' some people thought he/she is already better than any other... If I reach his level...I am sure admit myself still learning while not trying to be selfish or showing off that I am the best...telling yourself that you are the best is only for you to keep in your heart...let other people or magician or layman judge you with their eyes and heart that you are the best... :-)

Actually, do join us for our gatherings and you'll find that we do share a lot. JUst ask the guys who have come to chill with us during our gatherings.
Its just that in the forums, we are not usually as open (exposure, non commital members, curious laypeople ,etc). We were all newbies once afterall. (I am still a newbie too)

We've had too many members who have come in to the forums, full of enthusiasm for 1 months and disappear forever. Puts people off from sharing things in the forums. Stick around, you'll see what I mean.
