I got one but have yet to think of a way to use it other than the straight laced prediction.

It's next on my wish list .... as mentalism is something I think suits me well. Any tips and suggestions?

Paul,
I got a Vernet TT Grease Marker type.
Bought from the Annexe Shope. Can let you check it out if ya want.

Just wondering, can the grease marker be refilled in any way if it starts drying up? I'm not sure if it's possible or you just get a new one since it's relatively inexpensive anyway... I've only purchased the pencil boon/ TT writer types so far so I honestly don't know.
But I love these things... they're so easy to bring around with you and it's almost impossible to goof up with them

The grease marker is like a thick greasy pencil lead (somewhat like the ones tailors use to draw on cloth) and not like marker as in sharpie variety.
think you can get the pencils from most art supply stores and make your own lead refills.

Jeff, so the grease type is pencil lead...while the boon type is marker/ink???
i'm planning to get one too....Joe suggested I get one with the TT instead of just the boon alone

both are pencil leads. The pencil variety is well, a pencil.
The grease marker one is a thick greasy pencil leadlike thingie.

Here's how it looks like... seems that some are a bit confused ^_^
(Jeff Gan : sorry, image is exposure, sort of)
Just log on to the website in my singature for the prices and variations. If anyone's interested, just post it in the mrketplace thread accordingly so I'll order it for you.
I've used the boon type, but I guess the TT version provides more security. Problem for me, I have small thumbs!!! :(

Eric,
I also prefer the TT version. I feel more secure with it.
I got a Sam Dalal Nail type, but I don't like it cos I don't feel its very securely fastened (maybe its just me)
Dont have the boon type though.

I got a few types of TT,the classic ones, boon, grease, pencil, super sharpie(which I bought 3 times because the swami gimmick kept on getting lost/broken...etc),but the best is..........`Lincoln`s best boon'...it`s the cream of the crop.Use it and you`ll know.Do a search on google for the site.Lincoln`s customer service is very good.Trust me on this one.The pocket writer is also fantastic. This are used by the professional mentalist.

David Lai

Yes it's true ^_^ Heard many good things about it but it certainly is pricey!!! However, much love goes into creating it and the $$$ spent seems well worth it for all the pro performers who purchased it.
Do you own a set, David? You seem to have all the cool toys!!!
David Lai - April 27, 2006 06:31 PM (GMT)
Yes i do...hmm,cool toys?.Seem like you have many toys too, wana play together and rekindle childhood memories?.hehe.;)-i`ll show u some of them when you come by.till then.
