Title: Wow Control...anyone?
Description: Card Manipulation

Anyone here knows about "Wow Control"? I asked a few magician friends and have never heard of it... Anyone here ever use this sleight? How's the response and have you ever get caught because it is so angly but powerful for close-up routine. It can be used to control a card to the top, 2nd from the top, middle (face-up), bottom (face-up)...

Well, I guess nobody have ever heard this or this it is still not a well known sleights among magicians.

U're refering to the Wow Control by Olmac? If so, yea. I kinda like that sleigt.. but indeed its quite angle sensitive. Only use 2-3 times to spec. So far, never get caught. but the effect is good.. worth practising, + its not as hard as doing a pass.

yup..Olmac...this is by far the most simple yet so powerful sleights I have ever seen... It is easier than the classic pass... its one of my favorite sleights too. I am planning to use it in my close up routine...but still not confident enough using it in front of laymen. I ever asked a magician friend, and he knows nothing about this sleight... he pointed to the sky... "WAU Control"? He was joking :D ...but he seriously never heard of it... and as I showed him a simple demo effect... he chose a card...put it in the middle...I put the rest of the deck on top of it...no breaks, no pass movement, no cuts... and his card goes on top. All he could think of is, whether I have another same face card :) . Olmac's One card pass and Subtle control are awesome too.... but I really doubt its use when spectator is around me...I do not dare to use this sleight...that is why I wanted some experience people around here to share its usage how to handle its angle sensitive issue...Olmac never explained thoroughly about its angle... Well, I think it will still be the best sleight at the right time... :)

ya.. i personally like that sleight alot too. But IMHO, i think its "a lil too" sensitive in terms of the angle. And seem like I have the "sound" problem too, if u know the sleight.
This the sleight which can achive what PASS can do without a pain.
p/s : I like the sanwich most.

O-M-G. The "Wow Control" is PURE BRILLIANCE!
But as far as originality goes, it is very much similar to Daniel Garcia's "Ego Change", or the "Cardini Change".
However, I love the control and I think it's pure genius in the fact that you can control it pretty much anywhere. ie, top, second from top, bottom.
Brilliant! :D

Well, I too had that problem. But I suggest practising this control via first using a SMALL thumb break with the left hand by riffling the upper left corner of the deck. (If you are right handed and hold the deck in the left hand mechanics grip, of course.) Once you get the feel for no sound, without a break there will be no sound. ;)
Besides, patter and the dribbling cards hide this sound tremendously.

Hmm.. it worked for me..
Anyway, that was cool, Afoi. (BTW, is this the Afoi I occasionally talk to on MSN Messenger, or a completely differen Afoi? lol)
The only little thing was a small flash as the dribble was coming to an end, as the excecution of the control was being made - but it was nothing major.
Good work, keep it up. :)
