Hi guys,

just wanna share with you a review on Earl Nelson's Variations revisited book... just had it last week and I have to admit the tricks are amazing. The quality of the book is also very good. Hardcover and its done in a way that it is easy to lay it down on the table without having to nail down the pages in order for you to read and practise at the same time.

In it there's a couple of 'Reset' variations, 'exploding aces' , 'about face aces' and my favourite 'between your points of departure'. You can read more about all the tricks that is in this book here http://magicref.tripod.com/booksjr/nelsonvariations.htm

The photos in the book are just awesome... very clear and to the point. I have not really gotten into the "cards and coins" section yet... still practising and enjoying the card tricks.

I've also bought the Harry Lorayne's Close up card magic. Haven't really gotten deep into it yet... but compared to the Variations book... its not that good...not as many photos/pictures to refer to...

overall i would say the variations book is by far the best magic book I've bought so far.. ( not that I've bought a lot of books anyway... teehee ^_^ )

Hi Lester

You have one of my favourite, "Variations". I am not sure but I think this book was published more than 15 - 20 years ago and its a variation of all the best routines.

I have been performing Earl's finger ring from his book regularly and it has given me a lot of satisfaction and reputation.

Lorayne's Close Up Card Magic is a wonderful book and don't pass it out. He also compiled the Vol 7 or 8 of the Tarbell Course, Best of Friends 1 & 2 and many other books which I cannot remember their titles.

Enjoy the books of the great minds in magic.

Bob
