Hi MMF
If you are talking about Juan Tamariz's Mnemonica, it was published by Juan Tamariz and Stephen Minch in 2004. Intro by Simon Aronson and translated from Spanish to English by Rafael Benatar. These guys are all big names in the magic industry.
I have not the time to go throuigh his book but I feel Juan Tamariz is a very practical magician in his routines and it works all the time. Then again, you must enjoy reading and like his unique style of presentation.
I enjoyed Tamariz's dvd on "Lessons In Magic" and his earlier video by Greater Magic Library. He has also written a couple of books, The Magic Way and some books I cannot recall the titles.

Hie just to add on Juan Tamariz - Mnemonica,
It`s about memorized decks,or better said everything you need to know about memorized decks. There are many memorized decks or stacked decks that can be memorized, the popular ones being BCS by Osterlind,Si Stebbins,Nikola System(which takes a damn hell long time to memorize,I gave up on the 2nd day) Simon Aronson`s memorized stack,Joyal 6 hour memorized deck,Harry Lorayne`s peg system to memorize a DECK,Mnemonica and so on.....etc.You can hell ,create your own memorized deck using neumonics.
Now about the book.It teaches you routines about how to use a memorized stack. The routines are superb but you HAVE to put in effort to memorize the deck 1st.Each and every stack has their own memorization technique.PM me for details.
A memorized deck is not for everyone,if you like memory work, you`re going to love Tamariz`s book.Combining this with sleight of hand,it`s a killer and Tamariz`s teaches you everything you need to know about his deck.If you`re really planning on getting this book, get `MICHEAL CLOSE e-book on the FARO SHUFFLE' or learn the Hollingworth`s false shuffle as well. Both work well to keep the stack`s position.

I would say that Osterlind's BCS is not a 'memorized' deck...but more of a stack system?
In the memorized deck, you literally memorize the position and name of each card in the deck. By knowing the position of one card, you are able to tell the position of any card in the middle of the deck instantly without any calculations
Whereas with BCS, after seeing the position of one card you are able to know the next few cards. You won't be able to know the, let's say, 15th card ahead right away.

If you read my post.`I said, stacked decks that can be memorized',BCS can be memorized. If you were to memorize the BCS,the ammount of effects you can do is limitless.A stack is a stack.Any stack can be memorized. It`s just how you memorize it.
