First let me say that this is an awesome effect. Passing Thru is one of the best and practical coin thru bottle I have ever purchased and I say that with conviction. I owned Abyss and it is no where near Passing Thru.

The setup?

Freakin' easy!

The quality of the video is nothing to shout about as it is a home video but please don't take this as a sign of a low quality effect. He teaches you everything you need to know on how to perform this effect and how to prepare for it. He explains it as simply as possible. Of course there's no such tedious details as Brad Christian would go thru but it gets the job done. It tells you everything you need to know on how to prepare and perform this effect.

No 'weird' gimmicks or props. Just everyday items that you can find around the house and prepare for it and it won't even cost you RM3... hehehe! It can be performed with a borrowed coin and borrowed bottle.

Do you need a specific type or shape of bottle to perform this effect?
Lets put it this way, it can be performed with any type and shape of bottle. But it is better performed with a glass bottle like a Snapple bottle. Depends on your preference and situation that you're in, what bottles you have around you and how much of an impact you want to make. With a glass bottle, you can hear the coin 'clink' as it melts and drops into the bottle.

Do I need 'special' coins to perform this effect?
As the creator himself said... Any borrowed coin! Any coin you can fish out of your spectator's pockets or your own pockets! Keyword: Any Coin!

Can the coin be signed?
Unfortunately it can't be signed. Heck! You don't need to. The effect of the coin VISUALLY melting and dropping into the bottle removes any need to make it more impressive by signing the coin! It is that good!

Is it impromptu?
Well, let's say its as impromptu as you'd like it to be as long as you 'got' what it takes ;)

Is it angle proof?
As long as you perform it facing your spectators like its shown in the video. You'll be fine. I'd say you got about 90 degrees of safe angle infront of you. I'd also say you got a good chance of getting away with it if someone were looking from over your shoulder. To a certain extent of course. I got away with it. :)

Should you buy it?
Yes. Period.

When I first saw it, it just blew me away! Its freakin' visual. Some smarty pants may say...

"I figured out how he did it or I know how he did it...

Well, good on you then. I appreciate the creavity and originality that has been displayed by Kevin Parker in his effects. I know how much some of you complained about the method of Revolution: Coin Vanish but let me tell you this. The good thing about Kevin Parker's effects that I have had the previllege of owning is that...

They are freakin' easy to prepare and perform!

This is what is said on the website about the effect:

This instructional video teaches you how to visually push a real coin through the bottom of a real glass bottle, leaving it inside. They watch it melt through the bottle's bottom, leaving your hand and falling into the bottle. They don't see it just 'appear' in the bottle, they watch it melt through. The bottle is then handed to spectator for inspection and to keep.

They won't find any holes or gimmicks anywhere on the bottle. This instructional video, taught by the creator himself, will teach you everything you need to know to perform this illusion. Upon learning the secret, you will immediately want to rush out and perform it.

Extremely visual
No bulky gimmicks
Easy execution
Can use a borrowed bottle
Can use a borrowed coin
Props can be handed to spectator to keep

And you can take his word for it! Hahaha! So go and get your hands on Passing Thru now! Its available as an instant download. There has been talk on some magic forums regarding a DVD release but I guess its in the works. But hey, why wait for it to be delivered across the world to you when you can watch it as soon as you complete downloaing it in like what? 20 mins? Hahaha! I hope this review helps. In short:

EFFECT: Really visual and believe me it will get the reactions
PREPARATION: Real simple as long you 'got' what it takes
METHOD: As easy as tenkai
DIFFICULTY: What's difficult? This effect? Naaah!
COST: USD17 but well worth every penny :)

Simply a 10/10 for everything! Go see it here.

I'm glad you guys like the review. I put alot of thought into writing the review to give you the best idea regarding the effect.

Kenny,

Yeah CCBill doesnt accepted cards from Malaysia for the same reason that Penguin Magic doesnt accept cards from here. Fraudulent reasons. So just email Kevin and pay to him via PayPal.

Glad you got it.

Esprit Bottle is the best locally. And I was equally impressed when I tried a Perrier Bottle, the translucent 'green' tint of the bottle really complements the effect very well.

But I made a blunder on a Ribena Bottle (the carbonated ones), yeah - so leave this out of your Passing Thru repertoire!

I would suggest people look closely at the performance and think of a logical method for achieving the same effect.
