Hey guys... On Thursday I went down to Singapore... Met up with Ning, Aloy and Bob Chua in uh... Bukit Batok McDonald's along with 3 of my friends(3 magicians and 1 layman)... my layman friend was pretty much our tour guide from jb who we stayed with for a couple of nights... and he went off after about an hour, leaving us to jam... :-D

The Singaporeans

so Ning's a mentalist... didn't expect a female mentalist... then again... i don't really know what to expect seeing as Ning's the first other female magician i've met!

ALoy did a sponge ball routine, amongst other things... Aparently sponge balls are his latest obsession...

Bob Chua... a man who's been in the industry for quite some time... he was simply amazing! his second deal! try and be a heckler with that and... YOU'LL FAIL AS A HECKLER!! the amount of confidence he has in his moves... the way he handles his cards were just... WOW...

The Malaysians

My 2 friends from college... Chyn Wey and Wilson... All 3 of us pretty noob magicians...

Chyn Wey was playing around with his cards as he always does... after Uncle Bob showed us the regular version of Professor's Nightmare, Chyn Wey took out his mini card version of Professor's Nightmare...

Wilson(who's been into magic for 2 months now) showed a card trick... hmm... memorising the deck of some sort... i think it was some mentalism thing... where he could say what the next card was going to be

I took out my linking rings... haven't even been using them for 2 weeks... but gladly didn't screw it up too badly... haha...

On the whole, we jammed in McDonalds for about 4 hours, if i'm not wrong... didn't realise the time passed so quickly though... oh... btw... we did do more tricks than that... :P

After McDonalds, Uncle Bob had to go, and we took a ride on the MRT to uh.. Bugis station... Quite a long ride... We got there and took a walk to Golden Landmark(as recommended by the mmf people)... Girls and shopping! hahaha... i bought quite a few decks there... Chyn Wey bought about the same amount too...! (see! i'm not so bad... ok... so many mine were more expensive... SO?! :P)...

After that, we headed off to Magic Castle and Magic Exchange... Met Soloman... Cool magician(with a funny haircut)... those two places are so much different from the magic ring and magic club... just felt like a totally different style... better or worse? hmm... i really don't know...

After that we went out and just chilled out... no more magic for the day... till we got back to JB anyway! ;) On the whole Chyn Wey, Wilson and I had lots of fun hanging out with them! A big thanks to Ning and Aloy for taking us out and uh... "baby sitting" us... haha... My turn's coming next month! We're gonna run around KL! Can't wait! :D

Looks like you had lots of fun in spore. I wanna go there oneday too... dunno when though.

Its been quite some time already...

And yeah.... cards in spore... get them there... :P (better price than getting in Msia magic shops). GL is the place to go.. lol

MMFers.... we should make a trip to spore oneday k. perhaps stay a nite or something... i dunno... i definitely wanna jam with flourishers over there.

For those interested, perhaps we can talk more abt it when we meet on 3rd June.

Hehe,speaking about McDonalds.I remember I spends 5 hours at McDonalds with Alvin(5th March gathering Alvin),and another non-magician friend of mine.He were jamming so long at McDonalds until I drank 3 large coke without even noticing,my outcome was getting addicted to it lol.Nice toknow you had fun.

Sukyi - I'm glad you & your buddies enjoyed yourselves... Especially with my beloved mentor, Uncle Bob! His sleights will KILL all hecklers out there ;)

Solomon of MC (yes, the good looking fella with the funky hair) is the best magic demonstrator in SG... his teaching style is second to none. GL has suddenly become a psuedo magic shop, but yeah their prices are quite good cos they buy cards in bulk. But the aunty knows nuts about magic tho...

SG is a nice place... the magicians are as friendly as our malaysian's magis.
so i guess you bought tons of cards before you go US?

hahaha... not THAT much... only about 10 decks... coz i was pretty scared of 2 things...
1. my dad gave me sg$... so... if i come home saying "dad, i spent sg$150 on cards"... he will kill me
2. carry so many decks to US very heavy leh... can get them there also... hehe

Sadly Uncle Bob can't join us this time round... his daughter is coming back from USA pretty soon, so it's precious family time! :)

But if any of you guys are coming down to SG, like David & his friends this June... just lemme know... I'll try to arrange for another session & ask Uncle Bob if he's free to jam again. I love his fingers... watch them, it's like REAL magic!

Sukyi- I still haven't settled my KL accomodations :P Where's a good place that's safe, convenient & cheap? Will be coming down to KL from Genting on Sat morning, leaving for SG Sunday nite.

Thank you Sukyi and Ning for the kind words that makes me very proud. If you gals and guys are in Singapore, let Ning know and I will try my best to meet up.

Most probably I may be in KL middle of June with my family for a short holiday. I will also be going to Jakarta on 23 June to conduct a lecture for the Indonesian Magic Club.

Hope we can meet in the future and enjoy your magic.
