Title: Coin Matrix
Description: Which Version ???

isaac - June 28, 2006 04:39 PM (GMT)
Ok, recently I have this craze on coin matrix.
Wanna build one good coin matrix routine.

All I know now is
1) The old school coin matrix - with card covering
2) Daniel Garcia Sh4de
3) With extra coins
4) with Sh**l
5) with PK ring
5) Jack Liw version

What else will you all suggest me to look at??

Isaac/Shadow

I don;t really understand but i hope this helps...

The matrix'es' I know are solaris matrix, imposoble matrix, matrix reminted, coin flux 2 and the matrix.

do an impromptu matrix with 4 coins. no cards involved. it's cool and you are clean at the end of the trick.

I agree with manthusiastic... IMO, i really like Daniel Garica's "only four" matrix routine...4 coins...no cards.....no sh***s...it was in one of the DG Project volumes...pretty smart if you ask me...hehe will get back to you on which one

regards,

All the matrices you mentioned are weird,

IMO, there are only a few series of Matrix. First, The Matrix. Second, Matrix Revolution. Just kidding, LOL.

*Yeha, at this time of writing my Black Tiger and 3 Master's Edition Deck are being shipped! Hope to have them arrived at my mailbox soon!*

Matrix are coin assemblies with cards. Without cards, it'll be known as Chink-a-Chink.

Roth's Chink-a-Chink is very nice and Ammar's Shadow coins is good too. The effect will look the same to the audience. I always do Roth's followed by Bob Kohler's Knihc-a-Knich.

Chris Korn of Mondo Magic performed Ammar's Shadow (if I'm not mistaken, it's it) a year ago and all I can say the routine was perfect. The sleight of hand was so smooth that I can't resist my jaw from dropping to the ground.

There's also a chink-a-chink called Transposition. Criss Angel performed this and I didn't really like his presentation. If you watch the video, you'll get to see a few sleight mistakes. And most people believe the video was edited. The shot version (where you can see him doing the trick) was believed to have been captured after all the spectators leave the room, and we didn't know which matrix (or chink-a-chink) he did in the actual performance. To make it simple, it's got the same principle as Blaine's 12inch Levitation cameratrick.
