Hey.. plan to get into learning P**S, still very new.. in fact.. today is the FIRST day I "officially" get into this move.. watched Kaufman's On The Pass.. however, have some doubt.. when i do the move, it seems like the "selected" card will be moved with my pinky as well. its like.. my pinky got sanwiched with both the selected + the stack. any advice?

Hi Afoi,
Why not learn Steven Youell's 'Mongrel Pass'????
His handlings very easy and clean as well!
I am not saying Richard Kaufman's DVD Pass is not good, excellent as well!
But, I find that Steven's version with a few practices, you will get the hands on with it.
Just my two cents!

how does it look like ? i can do hermann pass.. but as for those classic,riffle.. no way.... yet
Brendan Low - March 23, 2005 12:12 AM (GMT)
Afoi, the classic or riffle pass, ya put my pinky more towards the backside and not directly under the pile of cards. (this means my pinky sticks out a bit and i apply pressure inward and upward and do the pass). this ensures my pinky wont stick. Hard to describe it. Anyway, continue to work on it... u will get it soon :)

Heh, the pass :) the first sleight I ever learned. Afoi, are you learning the invisible pass?
Andrew Loh - April 30, 2005 03:23 PM (GMT)
Hi folks,
Get the card classic of Ken Krenzel, many wonderful passes in that book. :P

yes, there may seem like there's lots of method of doing the P**s but it all comes to the same idea and actually all kinda look similar...

Screw the pass...just do a double undercut!
lolz
ChongWei - May 28, 2005 07:01 PM (GMT)
yea..screw the pass.. i give up on practise ( so easily) due to heavy workload..
Andrew Loh - May 29, 2005 01:10 AM (GMT)
Hi Afoi,
I believe you can do the pass one day, but it's worth learning, if you can do pass, the execution of this sleight is very nice and elegance. ^_^

Yeah screw the pass.....
but also screw the double undercut.....
hidden gems.....look up the "bluff pass"......it's less of a pass then you'd think it should be
otherwise side steals are another way around passes in a skillfull way...
Eric Liew - June 3, 2005 12:25 PM (GMT)
Julius paid me to say this...
Again, Julius has the best spread pass that i've come across in person...
Invisible if u're on his right side....
There..done..$20 easily made..
haha just joking
Anyway, i think the top cover pass is indeed a very good pass..coz it's covered from both angles. Will spend time practising it during the hols

Hi folks,
Yeah! I am agree with Eric, Top Card Cover Pass act as a 'cover' when you execute this sleight. It's a killer sleight if you know what I mean.
If you want to see my clip of performing this cover pass, PM me with your email address, I will glad to send you my clip. ^_^

Wow! great cover pass you have there Andrew!!
It was a nice idea to pull the cover card slightly higher during the motion to cover all angles.
Thanks!!

hermann for me. sometimes i cheat and do a fake pass (pinky flick thingy, i forget the real name).
zhuanan - June 7, 2005 12:09 PM (GMT)
Top Card Cover Pass sounds good ley...
However, does this pass have any angle weakness?
For eg. the weakness of invisible pass is on ur left...does Top Card Cover Pass have any? Or does it have "something" that u need to watch out when u execute it?
:P
Andrew Loh - June 7, 2005 01:55 PM (GMT)
Dear Zhuanan,
Good questions. ^_^ - I think the top card cover pass very cool if you see from the front, but for me personally, I don't think Pass has BAD ANGLE.
I have been watching Peter Duffie executing the pass with ease and beauty from any angle, but wow, I would say his pass is awesome. I don't know what words should I use to describe my eyes watching him perform.
I am now using Peter Duffie's Riffle Pass whenever if I have the chance. ^_^
