u see.. i`m the type who never afraid of ppl copying anything so as long the copied version can be much much better than the original....

but the fella in the FIRST link... was such a horrible man take note... i`m saying...wats more are the judge.... i bet the judge arent magicians.... bad foot work,bad body language...ZERO choreography...
so much drastic difference than cyril`s style..
i wonder the fella ever read any juniors magic book.... under any children magic book, there oways a discussion of developing own style.... damn......ask him read peter eldin magic book lar plz....

AND THE SECOND LINK.. it was the original award winning idea and routine by christopher hart..actor for THE HAND for Adam`s Family..
step by step was copied...gimmick per gimmick. bad bad bad... but the act was sooooo SUX!!!! it doesnt look good at all!!!! at least allow me to see that her acting can make the hand more alive and not a puppet hand!!! but no!! wat the heck!!! a puppeeter???

judge for urself...... because its the public visuals that tells the lay public more....about magic...

Truely said charlston. I never knew there are these 2 clips. I'm a fan of cyril..but the first link is really..saddening. No originality at ALL, and i can't stand the guy's image..cyril dressed professional, but the guy dressed more like in pasar malam..hmm i couldn't find a more suitable word..
The second link, honestly i havn't watched the original b4..so can't comment much..is there a clip also? but anyway the gal did it very boring..seemed so gimmickal..

Ok, first of all, calm down guys.

The 1st cyril clip is from a competition in Singapore. It is the same competition that Ning took part in and got 2nd runner up. The manipulation act got 1st runner up.
Honestly, although I'm very happy for her, I think Ning had a spat of luck to get 2nd runner up.

But I would rather not comment on the magic and the placing but something else on my mind.
To be very frank, without going into your opinion on the magic, i find it very difficult to agree with your general approach.

In my humble opinion, i think it is best not to jump to such harsh conclusions and personally, i think it's important to respect the judge's decision, whether you like it or not.

Think about it. Is the heat going to be on the judges everytime they make a decision you don't agree with?
And surely, such strong and sharp words against the judges are just not very respectful and polite.
It is like punching the referee of a football match because the referee mistakenly issued a penalty kick or wrongly call for off side. Yes the referee may have made a mistake, but to abuse the referee is unacceptable.

You may disagree with the judges. But I don't think anyone should abuse the judges verbally in any way.

As for the performer, hurling insults and sharp words in his direction is not going to help anybody be better. Comment by all means, but don't mock, and don't abuse.
And surely things as subjective as what is appropriate attire shouldn't be fair grounds for attack right?

Magic would be a much more enjoyable and improved art if all the practitioners of the art learn to respect each other a little bit more.

but honest to goodness... i still suspect the judges are not magicians... when said that i mean if they are sort of producer or singer or beauty judge or actor or tukang pungut sampah or tukang sapu tepi jalan or even tukan cuci jamban,,,, i also dunno lar.,... but really lar...
memalukan lar...... hai seh.....
kalo boleh hadiah untuk pemenang tuu ditarik balik....untuk keadilan manusia sejagat.......
kalo tidak ku tak rela hidup di alam fana yang kejam dan buta ini...

sememangnya lar......sejak kecil cikgu melarang kita meniru dalam peperiksaan,,,

kalo amalan meniru BULAT BULAT ini diteruskan,..... tak tau la apa jadi....
tiru isi penting kan takpe, tapi ini tiru BULAT BULAT... haiseh,,,,, pedih hati gua.....
