I personally use blaine's method, but trying some other methods as well. Daryl's Ambitious Card has some nice variations...

I have been playing with many types of ambitious card moves, and i practically likes tommy wonders version (without the mystery box), reason is because the routine builds up very unique atmosphere, ant it is relatively clean at the last round.

then later after learned some manipulation act by mcbride and b.tudor, i added in some card to hand, card to pocket etc etc.

In some rare occation i may used the card to mouth effect. or the card to envolope.

how about the rest of you guys?

If I have the chance, I would perform something different compare to the other magicians are actually doing for the past.

I would prefer to end up in the wallet which sealed inside of the envelope or the card appear under a plant of flower which has been there for long. ^_^

yeah, i find that too many spectators know abt the effect of the ACR. i think they've seen it too many times. i mean every magician surely has performed the basic ACR trick to them.

Its great to hear that most of u have moved away from the classic and make the routine much more suprising and "unbelievable". great job!

bout acr .. i tried one method which give a very WOW effect to my spectators
i do few normal acr move n 2nd last move card to mouth ..

then i burn the card(which definitely not the selected card la) ... then it appear on top again ...

i think magic wit fire always give a much better effect

produce it from your mouth after you burn it?

burn it, cover your nose to avoid breathing in the smoke, cough after inhaling smoke, cough the card out. and watch everyone go eeeewwwww...:wacko:

hey.... that's a great move isaac. get a ligther ready in pocket and then after produce in mouth... do the *** ****** fold and burn it.... lol... and rub the ash on top of the deck.... :)

acr is one of my fav move.. no matter who ur spectators r .. wat language they speak .. u can easily perform this trick *credit to OZ-born to perform = he mention this line in the vid*

n i reali love to see acr happen in their hand .. they insert the card they open the top card .. they see it jump on top ..

oh ya cough out the card will b nice but .. bit the disgusting .. LOL

btw .. i never use BIKE to burn .. when i perform burning i always get those airline card or those RM1.50 cheaplak card .. :!!:

If you have Peter Duffie's effect 'In the Nick of Time" combine it with ACR I think it's powerful as the ashes with a little rub to the envelope, the card restored in normal but the signed card is BADLY CHARRED! :lol: - Seems like bizarre kind of magic.

i have not personally torn my own bike before either. ive torn some old aladdins and many many msian made cheaplak cards. once i learn a good T&R effect i will be tearing up more cards!

talking abt the ACR, yeah i used to perform a lot with the msian airline card. i thinkl they are quite good as they are thin and quite easy to handle. i remembered flourishing and even doing magic with it to an old couple from UK in the plane on my way to aus last time.. lol... it was fun. hhehe

I almost always finish it with the hand sandwich routine.. basically a f**** cut to make the chosen card "goes" to the center of the deck, put the top card in the spec's hand (sandwiched), show the second card, then "steal" the first card for the spec just discovered that the card in their hand was the chosen card all along. there are lots of variant for this(if i'm not mistaken, blaine performed this as well). of all the closers for the ACR, this one is a sure fire!

I also like to end it with card to mouth (or pocket, or wallet, whatever) or torn and restored. I also did Sankey's paperclipped a couple of time before.

One time on a street session, I ended with the invisible deck and the crowd just went nuts! I basically lose the selected card in the deck and let the spec to look for it just to find their card has disappeared.. and to be revealed in a brand new invisible deck! (and as you can tell, this can't really be done with the card signed).
