How often do the MMF members meet for sessions?
I see many posts for mass gatherings but I would also like to know about casual meet-ups for sessions
Also, I believe that most of the members (I may be wrong) are centered around the Klang Valley area
maybe you guys should call for more meetings....say once or twice a week?

When you guys hold big gatherings do you guys call along any pros?

we dont meet that frequent since some of us are from Melaka and other states, however, you can still make new friends thru MMF and arrange your own meet up ;)

Sometimes professional magicians might join us, not always though.]

i meet up with my buddies like.....
4-5 times a week on average....
haha

some of us are working and they also have other commitments like family and other friends, as for those who're studying, our 1st priority is still study, or i'd rather stay in my room practicing magic :P

I thought we'd appreciate the meetings more if we meet up less frequently :)

hmmm....
no not really
meetings are no different than having dinner together
and sharing some ideas
and practice some old stuff
practicing at home all day is no fun at all
the mirror doesn't really give me creative feedback (if ya know what I mean)

then again...it may be harder for u guys in Malaysia (everything is kinda far and needs a car)
coz im living by myself = more freedom....

WHy must meet so frequently if you can perform for lay audiences? Their feedback is more sincere than magicians. Once a month is more than enough.

erm..so, can some1 held a gathering at kl?cos i am from tarc.but y mostly gathering is hold at klang?is it there have more magicians there?or there is the center point for u all..?y nobody organize 1 at kl state d?? :huh:

its Klang Valley, not Klang. Klang Valley encompasses of areas surrounding KL city , like PJ, Shah Alam, Sri Kembangan, Subang, Klang, etc.

I've organised quite a few in KL, due to requests. I've received complaints why all the gatherings held in PJ area. So we had a few in KL. But the people that turn up except one guy (Lai, who attends every gathering even he is from Cheras) were all from PJ, Shah Alam and Klang.

If the Oct 21st gathering has a lot of guys from KL, we can make it in KL city.

Bigger meetings:Meeting less frequent = more suprises, more enjoyable, meet more people.

Smaller (2-4) people meeting:
This is what I call a buddy meet, where you guys are actually close pals in magic and really share and help each other build magic together. This is encouraged if you have the time :).

For me, Im in Melaka and for me to meet you guys, I have to travel up to KL. So.. everytime I go up... i expect Big meeting! haha :P

oo.. B) no wonder u all planning like tat..watever..i dun hv transport to klang valley and i do not know where is the place too..haha..i not local ppl..so,sure it is hard to let me and explain to me where is the place la..
wah~ :blink: lai attend all the gathering a?!so geng and love it o..sure lai hv a lot of experiences on magic le lo..geng geng geng..

as the guys have mentioned, meet up with some of mmf and get to know them as friends... just hang out with them and you'll somehow bring up magic stuff... don't have to meet up just for the sole purpose of magic... maybe just hang out... and they'll just be friends with similiar interests...

and... if you don't know your way around kl since you're not local... you go to tarc, if i'm not wrong, there's an lrt there! kl's public transport system is really efficient, inspite of what the locals may think. get on the lrt and meet someone in klcc or something...

like jeff mentioned, klang valley comprises of KL, PJ, Shah Alam, Subang, etc...so since ur in TARC, u live in klang valley lah. ^_^

I dunno KL roads well.

How abt mid-valley? That I know how to go.

We should meet at a place with nice seats, and nice clean table, nice atmosphere.

mid valley?oo..i know tat place..but,the lrt can reach there mer?since i hv been taking so many times by lrt..no mid valley tis station o..

mid valley KTM can reach ;)
if you're on putra line lrt, just go KL sentral and switch KTM, one stop will be Midvalley station.
If you're n star line, go tasek selatan station, and go KTM from there

i knew a place ..somwhere around sg wang... there is an ole cafe... that day i went there...... upstairs u can use it for free ( but need to negotiate with the boss of course) upstairs have nice atmosphere , some place to be a hall.. can fit 20 -50 person ... nice drink .. the drink is nice...that day i talk to the boss... i tell him maybe mmf will have an event or gathering... he say welcome here ...i think it is a good place...
