Jeff McBride's Kundalini Rising is worth a check... Be kind to your cards, use IT! David Blaine uses a specific deck for that rising effect which is very visual because it happens in your spectator's hands. Only bummer is that it cannot be fully examined.

Rising Cards effects are sweet- you can also use Loops ^_^ Yup, by the same cool dude who created the Spider Pen!

I tried b4 with my finger, it works well with some angle. but it was amazing enough because i was holding the deck with my hand.

Then i tried to DIY r***** b*** version, it spoils serveral cards of mine and i have trouble controlling the speed of rising, thickness of the gimmick is also a major problem with it.

Then i also tried to DIY with a counter weight rising deck, it works but it only rises halfway.

BTW i'm a DIY guy, because i'm too poor to get those gimmick pack :P

I have a deck using w.....t to make the card rise. I bought it at the magic dealer shop. But anyway I still prefer IT for the rising card Tricks.

Hi Kilobytes,

If you know how to make and take care the cards with the r***** b***, then the cards will not damage. The way you do the gimmick is very critical.

I did them and it plays very well. ^_^

Cheers,
Andrew

R. Paul wilson's card rising in "the uprising" looks really neat in a casual manner..no strings R*** B**** whatsoever...check it out in hit the road

Yeah, uprising is cool. There's an effect also quite similar which can be found in Paul Wilson "13" book.

Steve Draun also has a version of this, but it's called "Spooky Revelations", no IT, just a deck of card and no difficult moves involved.

Very spooky indeed if looking Steve perform.

Richard Sanders' Lastest DVD series Vol 2 also teaches how to do the rising card effect using 3 cards without any gimmick. Further more it's impromptu as long as you have a hankerchief or napkin will do also. What really interest me is that you can rise up 3 cards one at a time once those three cards is selected.

Impressive indeed! :P

Oh yes, your descriptions remind me of jean Pierre Vallarino's 4 Ace Productions. ^_^
