benjamin,
Could you please describe "book trick"?
Thanks.
in summary, a booktest is where a spectator selects a word from a book and the magician reads his mind and reveals the word. There are hundred and hundreds of versions of this trick.

They are many types of book test , impromtu and gimmicked . At the moment I have used and have quite a number of them . You can find some good reference from:
a)The Banachek PSI series where he teaches a some sort impromtu book test.
b)Osterlind's Mind Mysteries where he teaches an impromtu magazine test
c)Books like Corinda and many more ........hell any mentalism or even some magic book covers the topic .
About gimmicked book test......search on MOAB,Mother of All Book Test , It's the best I've used so far .

There are so many book tests and variations, that you need to try a few and when you find one you like that (and more impoirtantly, that your audiences like!) that works 100% of the time for you, then stick with it and ignore the rest. I have my own published in The Wizards' Journal #6 on my Web Site, called The Better Book Test. I like it because I used to do library shows and I could have the librarian pull out a set of books (like the Harry Potter Book set, or what ever is popular with the audience) and then I can use those books for the test. I don't like having to buy and use a special book that might look out of place where I am performing. Much better to use books available everywhere, and give the spectators free choice as to which one to use for the test. But that is my own preference. I worked it out, have used it for years, and I'm sticking with it. So if you have a favorite book test that works, just stay with it and develop the presentation, whether it's mine or someone elses, or your own original idea.
