So what kinda music do you guys listen to mostly? What do you like? How's your relationship with music (just okay, can't live without it, seriously into it, etc)?

I know, for example, Jarret is heavily into MJ which is cool. And I know several of you play music instruments too. What about the rest of MMF?

I thought if some of us share similar musical taste we could recommend each other on new artists and whatever.

I wanna share my story. Might bore you guys to death, but Scr*w you hahahahahahha!!!

I got my first guitar when I was 12, cos I was so hooked onto Elvis Presley, and wanted to be just like him.

I first stepped into a jamming studio with some friends when I was 14, and we didn't have any idea what we were doing. After a while though, we ended up playing decent, but amateurish, versions of Metallica, Guns n Roses, and Nirvana songs.

Then one day our drummer couldn't make it to the jam session, so I filled in for him with not an inkling of how to play the drums. By the end of that year, I was a full-time drummer for my band, and played guitar and drums for a coupla other project bands.

It was around this time that I started to play around with the keyboards, looking through books, learning some chords. I didn't take my keyboarding seriously until much later though, since I was first and foremost, a drummer.

When I got into University, I started drumming for a band called "Lesbian Art", we played our own songs and managed to land a few gigs in the underground scene. After a while I quit the band and formed a band called "abe du bango", and became the rhythm guitarist and lead vocalist for this band. I quit drumming, and haven't played drums in a band ever since.

After playing a lot of underground gigs with "abe du bango" for about 3 years, I finally quit in 2003 and stopped playing. I was too frickin' busy with my studies and couldn't mess around as much as I used to.

Well, during my musical hiatus, I re-learned the keyboards and a bit of piano. Recently I formed a band called "III" or "3" or "Three" or "Tiga"(call it whatever u want, just keep the "3" in it). I'm rediscovering the joys of playing in a band and writing songs all over again. I currently play guitars, keyboards and sing in the band.

I'm totally self-taught, my only regret is that I have no formal music training. I would've loved to learn to play instruments the "correct" way and learn to read notations. Sigh.
