kinda sad, so far i also did not having a magician top hat.

-good luck-

Hello!

Yea, i agree that if ur not going to use the hat as a prop, might as well not wear it! Of course, if ur objective is entirely on fashion, then by all means! Ppl will recognise u at first glance with a top hat, a magician's wand and tail coat!

Could always get the hat with the stuff bunny in it.... it's so cute!!!!

:P

Benjamin Chan - October 15, 2006 02:01 AM (GMT)

Sam Chan - November 9, 2006 09:20 AM (GMT)
Top hat never be cheap. I would prefer a top hat table, so I can dumb all the stuff that I've produced, such as spring flowers and cards. Wearing top hat in the show.. ..not my cup of tea..

mannthusiastic - November 9, 2006 09:50 AM (GMT)
I love to wear Masked Magician's custom when performing street magic. Being in that, every layman loves me and every magician hates me. Just kidding, LOL. :P

Jarrett Goh - December 4, 2006 11:04 AM (GMT)
Top har I guess makes you look like a proffesional magician, a more proper attire especially when performing on stage or in a party, best dressed like how most magicians wear when you go to perform in corporate parties, etc. I don't have top hats because I love my hair and want people to see my spiky hair.

Benjamin Chan - December 4, 2006 11:15 AM (GMT)
I have a top hat :!!: !It's DIY,but so nice!(my mother make for me wan... B) )

nice day,

Thanks man. You have done your best. I'll search for it.

Charlston - December 12, 2006 05:44 PM (GMT)
my best suggestion is to get a real magician foldable tophat.

1. it takes less place for easy transport
2. get an original one from US and u`ll use it for ur life time.
3. it serve a purpose to show the hat is empty indirectly.e.g. walk out, flat top hat. pops open, produce fan of cards, drop in, steal a cane previously loaded inside whilst dipping the fan of cards into the hat, walk front and produce a cane, this is just a simple simple idea to get u going on the versatility of a folded tophat.

and recently i`m really pissed off, i introduce one student to my mentor, paid and start the lesson, but the fella complain about being cheated for cheap tricks with so-called big money.
cheap tricks? fyi, he is a newbie in magic.

wat i`m trying to say is that, u really gotta learn to make money before u can really tell anyone that u love magic. cuz good magic means good money sacrification. i`ve sacrifice a lot, but still i think not enuf.

if u say u are a hobbyist, then its fine, as long as the art is cherish till the end of performance.

well guys, no hard feelings here, just wish to share my experience.

Yes,agree with you. :) If you just play play then better you buy the normal top hat,if you are going to use the top hat to perform something, then the foldable tophat is the best. B)

Well said Charlston. I do think folded top hat is useful when come to the routine if there is a need to show it empty. But I'm doing a bit of hat juggling now so I need just the normal one.
