How long is the whole performance
you've got quite a list there
do your routines flow nicely from one to another?
What kind of theme are you planning to present your routine in?

I hink the 3 uneven ropes thingy is called the Professor's Nightmare.

i notice you got a mixture of stage and close up effects there.
Close up effects are not gonna work unless you intend to do table to table or have a big screen with a handheld camera to follow you.
And your cameraman, if possible, preferable is a magician as well. He will know what to shoot and what not to.

I agree.... :)
Only one card effect? Aces to Kings transpo? That and Paper to money is the only close up right effect rite?
All the best in ya routines....

Dave - October 20, 2006 04:29 AM (GMT)
Thanks a million to all u guys there for your suggestions. There'll be about 90-100 ppl during d dinner at Sunway Hotel, Pg then. I'll have to redo my list. :D

Reevaluate your routines, cus some is just proper for stage, while the rest is close up. You don't want people to get headache from numerous switching from live to camera, you know what I'm saying? It's like at one point, people look at you on the stage, and on the next effect, people have to see the screen because the 80th person in the back is having sore eyes cus the damn bill to-be-switched is just too small to see.
You might also wanna think about the continuity of your routines too. I don't know how silk and money > aces and kings > joined necklace can be streamlined. But if you're confident and know how, more power to you dude :)

U can do the double rice chinese bowls??? Wait, i wonder if i know the same thing.......
Is it the one where u double the rice from 1 bowl into the other??? and make it into liquid?? Hope u can answer my question, pm me if u don't feel like posting it up public!!!
Thanks dave!!! Well, ur routine would go well if ur doing from table to table, but to impress a huge audience, maybe an illusion big stage kinda thing? Just my thoughts..............

I just realized...I have no idea what you guys are talking about. I really need to brush up on my magic.
Kam, gimme lessons?
Dave - October 30, 2006 12:25 AM (GMT)
You're right. The Chinese Bowls Trick is first to double d uncooked rice, then turn it into water. Still practising it so as not to spill any drop. Wish me luck. Thanks 4 all d replies & advice. My D- day is this Friday at Sunway Hotel, Pg.

About my outing during the annual dinner, everything went pretty alright. They were quite impressed with my ring escape tricks. They've asked for a similar show next year. Need to think up new tricks, though.
Thanks for all the advice, buddies.
