Im looking for one that has a nice recording quality...kinda like Jarret's in his Killer Kings video...
anyone recommend any brands and models?
and plus, how do you check out frame rate and everything? like, whats a good fram rate?this and that....
would appreciate your comments players and playerettes.
till then,

Get iSight, it's the best one there is. Mine's built in, so I don't know if the external one has a built in microphone or not. But in any case, you can record your video and sound on separate program using mic or something. I don't know, but I believe iSight is equipped with a mic too.
A good frame rate for webcam should be anything 15+ fps, for animation like it's 24 fps, and for tv like it's 30 fps.

I can't believe you watched that video, it's old, it's time to do a new Killer King video with presentation, something in which the audience wouldn't fall a sleep. Anyway, I use Logitech Pro 4000. Very clear video and audio quality, you can also adjust the sharpness of the video which is a fun function to play around with. Good luck in your videos you are going to record in the future. :!!: (Since you like the icon so much) :!!:
Regards,
Jarrett

I use digitalcam to record my flourishes.... so that quality will be top notch.
Webcam... well... ok la... but yeah... for more professional vids, i prefer digital cam :)
The webcam I use is some RM88 ringgit one... cant remember the name... LOL
Yups.. webcam are nice to have. Yes, go invest in one... :)

hey Brendan,
i was thinking of investing in a digital camera instead....But i was afraid, if i record videos the frame rate, sound, etc wont be clear.
Since it is a photo Camera and not a video recorder, i was afraid the quality woudnt be up to par.
what are your thoughts on this??? please LOL
Thanks and regards,
Nadz

"Real Time" recording is 25 fps (PAL) or 30 fps (NTSC)
fps = frames per second.
The higher the frame rate, the less jerky the video playback is.

My digicam works fine for me. But again, its only limited time... mine can take 7 mins only lol.
If you want to take long footages, of course handycam or video camera is much preferred.
Im thinking of investing in one when time comes....
But for now, digicam works fine for me.

Both party [your friend and you] need a good internet connection for streaming.
Higher resolution make video clearer [but the higher res you got the higher bandwidth you need]
I notice that 1.3M webcam selling in Low Yatt [video similar what you see in Nokia 7610 for me consider good].
*remember we got only 1MB down and 384K up stream. It useless you got 2.0M cam where our GOOD ISP [streamyx] can only support 384K up streamyx.:D
Skype base on Peer to Peer structure if I not mistaken [which application you decided for streaming].

From now on I'm only gonna listen Jeuze when it comes to computer matter.
