When you are performing magic to audience,if you are done a mistake(eg:you could not find the card that the audience choose),what are you going to do??smile :D ??cry(TT)??It's no use you sitting in there and cry/smile,so let us discuss this topic!'WHAT YOU GOING TO DO'??wanna heard you guys opinion. B)

Just play it out....
say something like...
"Your card magically jumps to the top.....and CHANGES into the the three of hearts (or whatever it is)"
just laught it out
and restart the trick....."Yea okay, seriously this time, pick a card"
and go on.

That's why, we as magician, never told audience what are we going to do in advance. So even we did a mistake, they don't notice it.

It's normal for me to do mistake while I'm performing on stage (thanks to insufficient rehearsal I think :P ), I quickly proceed to my following effect. It's important that you don't show your facial expression that you did a mistake (unless you want to pretend like you really did), or else your act will be ruined by yourself.

For the lost selected card, it would be nice if you always carry an invisible deck. So when you lost the selected card, you can reveal it from the ID after you asked what the card is. Or a tougher one, you admit you lost their card, then ask for the name of the selected card, and openly look for their card, secretly bring to the top by your favourite method, p**m it and bring out from you pocket and say "No wonder I lost your card, it's in my pocket!".

I have my own post mortem after every performance. Thus my act can improve from all mistakes that I've made.

i has front with this matter, frequently...it happen when i give trust to audien to shuffle and then they done a crazy shuffle and the card really lost...then i do Dou*l* L**t show the top card, said "i know this isn't your card because it is (let say) 3 of spade. then i wave it under your arm and it turn to (let say) 7 of heart and also it is not your card even it change already"

before this, i just stop here and continue to another magic. but since Amane give me new idea, i'm perhaps i will lost he card again. hihihi.

I think before you do certain trick,you should be ready for what you going to do if the trick goes wrong.You should do this if you not sure that the trick will be 100% success.You should study the trick carefully and try to discover which part is you think you can go wrong when you perform it.So,you try to find a way to cover it back if its goes wrong.This way you will be safe because you already prepare for it.
