Title: Great Reactions!
Description: Really!

So, tomorrow will be my cousin's wedding. A week before the event starts, family, relatives and friends would usually be in the groom's/bride's house to gather for discussion, games, entertainments you name it.
Unfortunately I didn't come by his house, albeit my parents were persuading me to at least be there even though for 5 minutes. I told them I had a series of exam this week so I had to take it as my priority.
But yesterday was the Nikah ceremony, it was full of colour. Later that night, there was nothing to do and most people would usually go and que up for the karaoke. I knew it was going to be an energetic night, where kids play games, the adults gamble and the oldies gossip... and I knew.. IT's GONNA BE IT!!!
I slipped my Masters and Black Tiger into my pocket and proceed to the car. We arrived there and I could see the kids chasing each other like crazy. I spotted a pretty good window position for a CTW or KAOS effect. :)
I went to the living room, and heard my uncle singing out of tune. I cared less about that. I was thinking about what I can do with the cards. I sat down on the floor alone, took out my cards (all sofas and chairs were removed for a moment) and performed some simple flourishes. And then my brother shouted as if everybody was deaf, "Hey people! Come here and see my little brother do magic!". I was like WTF? is he doing, but at the same time, I got excited to the max.
Children and adults (15 people on average, that's a LOT!!!) approached me and I position myself in such a way that no one will be above my shoulder. Thus, my uncle's son (what is it called anyway?) was volunteering for the effect (well, he was the closest to me!). I performed the Two Card Monte, it was the best reaction I ever got, I mean, there was a lot of people watching me and the whole house could hear the screams and swears! It's like being in TV shows where David Blaine performed the trick to a small group of Afro-American adults in his Frozen In Time!
My deck was not set up for the Here and There effect, but I did it as if it was. And that reaction went wicked as well!
And then here comes a B***S***. It was one of my uncles. When I was performing a card guess effect he never stopped talking he could do the same too. I was like, okay, here it goes, the fun is going to be over now. Too bad he does not know what a Classic Force is! Haha! The card is shuffled by everyone including him and it's lost in the deck. I set up for a deck and card throw trick and did it! I threw it up in the air (it does hit the ceiling and fall back down though) and 'caught' the chosen card in my hand!
More and more adults (my uncles and aunts) started to get the fun boring. They'd been saying they know how to do this, they know how to do that. I performed a 2 Card Monte for 5 successive times (this is due to FORCES although I alrealy told them over and over again that I can't do it more than once!) and everyone started to take every piece of my Masters Deck and examine the card as if it was a "Real" magic card! All I did was smile and my brother laughed to death!
My aunt's 12 years old beautiful daughter arrived and she was invited by the crowds to volunteer. I knew it was gonna be wicked, she's beautiful and cute, genius, and an over-achiever (she goes to Brunei's "Harvard" school and gets Number 1 in every exams!). Her mom (my aunt) was trying to see how good her daughter was. So, again, EVERYBODY was FORCING me to perform the 2 card monte. I did it, but with an Instant version (no fast switches thingy). I asked her which one is which and her mom was going like, "okay honey, focus." She said this is it and this one is it. It was fun though. I have the cards change places over and over again until her mom gets totally confused... and by the time she revealed the card.. you know what happened! :D :D :D
I then performed Do As I Do to the same person. A few adults were trying to take a glimpse behind my back but their eyes were too slow :(. I spread the deck and reveal the 2 face down cards. This one gets a lot of laughter!
So, I got bored with card switches. I performed the Ace Assembly. I am not sure which assembly I did, I think it's Jazz Ace Assembly (impromptu). * I THINK *. All 4 aces were dealed face down and 3 indifferent cards were placed on top of each Ace. I performed the Monte style trick just for fun. I asked them which one has the Ace of Diamonds, which one has the Ace of Hearts bla bla bla. By the time I revealed the first stack (where the Ace is gone), everyone shouted, kicked one another and female screamed so loud that my ear drum was going to tear off!!! I then revealed the other 2 stacks and the Aces were gone as well! And then the final one... the other stack... everyone was shouting as they knew what was gonna happen! All the Aces are together! The reaction was GGGGGGRRRRREAAAAATTTTTTT!!!!!
The deck was given for full examination and I had to go home early as I had a driving test the next day (it's today! and I passed!). and I am preparing my routine for tonight. This is gonna be wicked!!!
Too bad I am not gonna be allowed to join any card game tonight :( It was a joke though as everybody was shouting to me while I was going into the car, "We are not gonna bring you to play any card game tomorrow! You can change the value of the card! Haha". Well, that was it though, It was funny. :)
See ya!
*I'll be writing more about tonight's event if I don't turn out to be lazy :P

Good on you! So, how old are you? It's hard to find those kind of reactions when I perform magic at Malaysia, Australia people reactions are stronger, especially the girls. Anyway, make sure you don't go lazy and make sure you write about yesterdays event. I would definitely keep an eye on this topic.

Glad for you :) But i'd be reluctant to repeat 2CM so many times..it's lucky that you didn't get caught! It's quite often that ppl will ask you to perform the same trick again but..you don't really have to do that :) Reaction is less and risk is more..so just take that chance to perform more of you other effects! that's what a routine means..
Look forward to the reaction you get for your Kaos!

Yes. Never repeat what they ask for as there will be no more surprise.
If you repeat again, it will hint them there is something to 'catch'.
We are doing real magic for them and there's nothing to be 'catch'. Once is enough.
Just show them something better and they will happy... ^_^

Great stuff Mann. B)
But yeah... 5 or more times of 2CM to the same crowd? hmm.. lol. Take Jeff's advice.. and tell them "let me show u something better" and proceed with another trick. ;)
I can imagine how pumped you are after receiving the attention and the praise from ya relatives. Its awesome aint it? CNY comes and no one wants you to deal cards already haha lol...
Keep it up man!!! Im sure more opportunities wil come ur way. :)
