Yo guys and gals,

I was thinking of having a meeting this coming February (our first meeting for 2007!).

As we all know CNY is coming and im sure we all have much to share during or after this festive season. Many stories and all to tell.

What do you guys think of having the gathering at the end of CNY holidays?

I most likely to take the whole week off work. Im still not sure.. but most likely la.

I was thinking maybe.... we can have our gathering on a Fri or Sat (23rd/24th) Feb? Venue yet to be confirmed but it will be somewhere convenient i guess.

Like to hear ya thoughts on this.

i will be taking 1030am flight from tawau,sabah back to kl at 24th...will be free oni on the evening :( ..25th i will be free :(

and honestly speaking all the tricks I know are half-baked...

If the stars and moons are aligned in the correct locations, I should be able to make it.

Looks like February ain't such a good month to have a gathering after all, heavily due to Chinese New Year, and school, I doubt there is any school holiday in February, correct me if I'm not. But I'm sure it will somehow turn successful somehow...

Ok, here's my review.

I was late a lil.. due to had to wait for my cousin to fetch me to pyramid. haha.

Reached Pyramid Starbucks abt 10.55am, saw Yukiko there studying or should i say trying to study her Economics book hehe.

Not long after, Yap aka YSL and Danny Fong came over and joined us. My first time meeting them 2.

We all showed each other some tricks. Good to see people performing their card magic. I performed quite a lot there.

Soon... we proceeded to Magic-I for more jam session. THere were many laymen there. I took my opportunity to show them some of my card magic. Nice to see good reactions... there was this uncle and this young lil boy and man... he was really young and so engrossed with magic. Father keep asking to learn from me how to do.... hehe.. The uncle said he already bought his son 1 whole set of magic stuff. I said, yes, that's the best way and that's what he should get. He should use and start gimmicks to do magic first. The thought I used gimicked deck.... but i told them u can check it out and its totally normal.

I did tricks such as Double Coincidence.. (well thats wat i call it), Twisiting the aces, Daley show, Spec cuts to Aces, Reset, Biddle, 2CM, Here and There, and a few new stuff i dont even have a name for :P.

IT was good... performed to two gals young that where present there as well. :P.

And also to one guy.... kinda heckler type but can still fool him. Dexterirty... he's more amazed with my wat i can do with my cards.. haha.

I went off at abt close to 5pm.

It was just a small gathering that day... but was quite fun la. Hope to have more people join us next time and have a better jam session.

For those who were there... i'll let you guys give ur views abt it :).

was there early.LOL.brendan was right.i TRIED to study microeconomics but only ended up reading a few sentences.*dear book i am so sorry*

after awhile.Danny and YSL came.i went off for awhile as i had something to do.

at about 12 or so we headed to Magic-i.Like what Brendan said,there was a kid and his father who was there,but Brendan forgot to mention that there was this CUTE lil baby that was there too!!


oh.and i have videos of Brendan flourishing!!!

Hi, here's my review :)

I arrived at around 10.30am in pyramid and headed straight for Magic-I. When I arrived there, I met Daniel who was in charge of the counter at that time. I was thinking of picking up the Linking Rings for some time now and so I bought the set and Daniel showed the basic involved.

After practicing for awhile, I headed to Starbucks where I met Brendan, Ah Liang and Danny. We performed for each other there, Ah Liang showed us a cool card routine, Danny did a nice trick using the Faro shuffle, and Brendan showed us many routines and his cool flourishes (it was Amazing.. :D ) thanks Brendan for the Hot Shot, and helping me complete the Sybil cut ^_^ appreciate it!
I did 2 tricks, a variation of triumph (I remember the name now, its called 'Play it Straight Triumph') and an ungimmicked version of Red Hot Mamamcita. I learned them both from none other than our 'Blaine-nistic' magician, Darren :lol:
Later Yukiko and Isaac also joined us, and I tooked the opportunity to ask them for some pointers on the linking rings. That's when Isaac whipped out his quality ninja rings and showed me his routine (it was GReat! :D )

Next we headed to Magic-I, and continued jamming. Yukiko gave me more pointers on the linking rings and also taught me a cool, Aces trick with lots of spectator interaction ^_^ thanks Yukiko!

Customers were coming into the shop and Brendan entertained them with his cool card magic :D i did short sponge ball routine for a little kid, but his mom seemed more amazed than he was :lol: lol

While I was there, Daniel taught me more about the linking rings, and the basic steps that must be practiced repeatedly as well as the proper handling. I've been practicing the basics since then and hope to learn the 'Ball flourish' next. :)

I left around 2pm while the others continued jamming.

All in all, I had a great time, and hope to meet up with all of you again in future gatherings :D Cheers!
