Here's a lil flourish video I made today. Wanted it to be a casual vid, unlike my thriller video.

I feel more comfortable sitting down and flourish... so yeah.. its been a while. This would be my first vid for 2007! Yay!

Yeah the 3 packet flourishes, i created. The first one at the beginning is of course the TRINITY Cut. You can learn that cut. I've posted a tutorial here not too long ago.

Quite a number liked the last cut as well... another 3 packet cut :). I call it the Falsetto Cut.

Btw both of my cuts (Trinity and Falseto) are completely false. :)

i know i said i wouldn't post a 1 phrase post here Brendan.. but yeah... holy crap.. tats all i can come up with.. :)

i dont really do fluorishes, so cant really comment on the techniques n all, but like Yukiko said, the cut at 0.28 with the display at the end is very nice..

Music kinda slow and laid back.. different from XCM/Showoffs with their fast techno... turned out very nice actualy.. :)

i know nuts bout flourish but planning to pick it up serious soon ^_^ ..

ok here is my comment based on what i see,

brendan everytime i saw u post a video up i can see u keep improving...your cuts getting smoother and there is more variation although i dont actually know what is the name of the cuts but then can see there is more variety in your flourish...u simply amaze me everytime i see u flourshing..

looks like im going to be the bad guy here :P

some things i think u still can improve on based on what i see..

-since your cuts are smooth now why not add some speed to your flourish?i know is not easy but i think u can do it!
-i think the music kinda not suit with flourish..in my opinion flourish is more like a "in" thing and a more "in" kinda music will suit better with the flourish...me personally i like the tokyo drift by teriyaki boyz music those type of music :lol:

Speed eh? ermm.. i thought the cuts where pretty fast already. I know the only cut I really need to work on speed is the tornado cut. Other than that... im pretty happy with my speed. Actually... speed comes second nature in flourishing. I guess the better u get the faster u become. I'll let it come naturally rather than forcing it. hehe. ;)

As for the music... yeah I kinda agree with u there. A more pumped up music would make everyone be excited and more pumped up. But that wasnt what i was trying to achieve. I just wanted a slower paced music to give a more relax feel... going in-line with my weekend... relaxing weekend of me doing cuts. I always try to give a mixture of music in the vids I do. Some i choose faster paced and some I choose slower pace. In reality, I enjoy slower paced music though... hehe... but that's just me.

Brendan, I'm sorry for not getting back to you so soon, but hopefully you'll forgive me when I send out your Anglo decks today! :) Since YouTube is currently on downtime, I had to watch the video on my hard drive, here's what I think...

The music is getting pretty boring now, since I've seen it in around 4 videos before, but you know what I thought of that so we won't discuss it any further, lol. The moves were very well done in my opinion. The video had a Daren-esque element and I think in future videos it should be removed, since it's mainly his style. I think the best video I've seen from you that had a nice "feel" was the one with the Paperboy-Ditty song, that one had a nice relaxed and calm feel - in my opinion that video is what you should be straying for in future, it seemed more your own style. :) And if you were, don't be offended by Szehowe's comment. I think you do the cuts at the speed that you like, so that's a good thing. However, I've found that if you practice cuts super fast with no smoothness for a while, and slow yourself down; you naturally become smooth (but still rather quick) because it's a very big leap backwards. :)

Yeah I got some pretty good comments on the "Another flourish Vid". It was a smooth vid with a nice song.. but the cuts done werent so much up to the speed Im aiming for.

This weekend vid.. yeah... song pretty boring.. haha... surely could spice it up a lil more in future. I guess everything abt the way I filmed this is kinda old school... sitting down in front of comp and flourishing haha.

Next time I film... I will do outside my room.. perhaps get some outdoor footage. :P hehe.
