Okay, i know this is a 'Magic' forum.. but hear me out 1st.. :)

anyone here do balloon sculpting? u know balloon twisting.

It may not be "Magic", but no less Magical..

If u perform profesionally, learning it will be a definate plus to your act, no matter walkaround or stage shows. It makes a great giveaway for your volunteer helper.

And the girls will love you.. and im not talking abt the little kids! ;)

issac the 2 traits, good and cheap rarely both appear together... hahaha...

Qualatex brand balloons from the USA are the best.. can actually FEEL the difference compared to the el cheapo ones just by touching, consistent thickness, all diff shapes and sizes etc...

260Q is the standard long one, then got bee shape, heart shape, smiley face.. these are real expensive tho..

Then there are the cheapo thai balloons... (im not saying ONLY Thai balloons are cheapo.. there are probably cheapo balloons from other places, but the ones i use are from thailand...)

There's one with an elephant on the packaging.. these are smaller size compared to the std 260q, but usable.. the quality on each balloon varies.. sometimes thick sometimes thin.. so u might get a batch tat pops very easily.. translucent colored (i.e. see through) balloons are easier to burst as compared to opague ones (u'll get a mixture in each pack of thai balloons).. but with practise, NONE of your balloons will burst, seriously... :)

Thai balloons are excelent for practice!! u'll end up with piles of cacated poodles, so using USA balloons will kill ya...

Thai balloons oso hv the standard 260Q size and hearts & so on, but i seldom see tho...

Hand pumps also come in wide ranges.. got single and double action pumps.. single action means air only gets pumped in 1 motion (when u push downwards).. double action means air gets pumped both when u push downwards as well as when u pull upwards.. so use double action!

Pumps are relatively cheap, can get in most toy shop.. for ppl starting its good enuff.. the one i have is imported.. cost abt RM60, cant really remember.. but i saw the exact same handpump in a excercise equipment shop here in Pg!!! they guy told me they use to inflate the huge plastic fitness Balls...huhh.. anyway back to balloons......

oh.. attemp to inflate the small thai balloon with nothing but ur lungs.. and u'll faint!! u can inflate a 260Q by blowing, but need to practise. i cant do it tho..

heres a good site abt sculpting
