G'day Guys and Gals,

For your info, there will be a Magic Festival at Subang Parade (Shopping Mall) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from June 8 - 10 2007.

The Magic Festival is opened to magicians and the public. There will be no registration fee for those attending.

There will be a stage competition and registration will be US$50.00. The first prize is US$2,000.00, 2nd prize is US$1,000.00 and 3rd prize is US$500.00.

According to Vincent Tan of Magic Ring Club, there will be overseas magicians attending this event.

Will keep you updates on the details if I get more info from him.

what i heard from staff in magic ring is that, there is people from overseas will be coming to sell their stuff here So ladies and gentlemen prepare ur $$$ when the time comes :)

Malaysia -1st Magic Festival

Information -

Mr.Leow Fee Loong (AMA Malaysia President)- Magic Ring Club.
is inviting magicians over to Malaysia for its 1st Annual Magic Festival.

The date will be from 8th-10th of June 2007. This will be held in a well known shopping mall- Subang Parade. This is open to anyone (magicians & public) cos is a shopping mall

There will be stage competitions which are offering 1st Prize USD$2000, 2nd
Prize USD$1000 & 3rd Prize USD$500. Competition fee will be USD50.
Time given will be 9-15min.

There will be also dealer's booth from other Asia countries which will
cater to magicians and the public.

This event will be taking place during Singapore & Malaysia school
Holiday & expected about 100,000 visitors for the 3 days mega
event, 1st time ever in Malaysia!

This Magic festival will be very similar to a Magic
Convention and it is FREE!!!

Only thing is N0 magic lecture.

YA, VERY INTERESTING. But unluckily I will be at Kota Tinggi, Johor. But glad to know that there will be a magic festival. Hope it will be organize annually.

the competition will start in the noon
and there will be stage performances at night
is it 100% confirmed?

sadly i have finals during the period..but i will be there for sure. must study early this time or not will fail because of magic :wacko:

Erm... ok off topic a lil..... anyone here love to dance? i mean there's KL's 1st International Dance Festival going to be held from 4-10 at berjaya times square. I'll post it up on the other thread. Im interested in the Hip Hop dance. Anyone interested? heehe.

Anyway... magic wise.... sigh.. i wish there were more info for us.

I think he is not going to take part in the competition . Just , not his "style" . If you know what i mean . Because he do STREET magic not STAGE lol . Unless he is good with both :D . I am going to the festival ! Subang Parade ? Have to take taxi d ... Because I dont know where is that Lol .

Are you sure the magic festival start from 1 june?Can someone comfirm this?

the schedule is starting from the 1st
they will be having some booth selling magic stuffs
then the ''real excitements'' starts on the 8th

however, there is still one doubt
will there be magic booth from magic shops in malaysia only or also some from other countries??
