hehe, My 1st magic lecture~ 8/10!

the location was a little weird I must say, but then again, it was just right for close up presentations and lectures ; Zenneth's skills are smooooth~

Totally love it, hope more lectures will be made available once more!~

Wow , i just reach back my hometown , Miri . This journey really tiring but

it's fun and it was a great great memory ever had . Lets straight to the

point , we had our gathering at Magic Ring . I meet cs chee first , then after i

went to purchase drinks , i saw brendan siting inside magic ring already . We

chat and perform some routines and lots of funny things inside the recording

sections . It's nice to meet jennifer , chris , sze howe and lots more of other

MMf member . Sze howe really really freak us out with his cute little stick

thing , (ask him ) . Soon , Zenneth reached Magic Ring , then we went for

lunch . After that we continue jamed for an hour at magic ring then we

procceed to Club De Swan for our lecture . Zenneth's lecture can only be

describe with one word , Superb . His good in lots of sleights of hands , and

his palming skills is great too . =) The only thing is i can't consume so much

card magic in one day . After the lecture , sze howe fetched yen loong

and soon chong to a stop . After that, sze howe was on his way to fetch

issac , and know what , he broke the traffic rulez~! :mellow: Then , me ,

brendan , sze howe , kenny and issac having dinner at mc donlad . We

jammed there as well . After that , we went to MTR for further jamming

session . Lots of tutorial shared among each other .. Glad that sze howe love

asher twist =) I cant forget issac's cool ninja ring manipulation, sze howe's

various kinds of magic , brendan's great card flourish and so do how good

kenny doing his flourish with brendan =) After that , we head our way back to

our own place . In the journey , kenny's form 3 story , is that fantastic ? Ask

Sze Howe or brendan =) After taking a soothing bath , me and kenny slept at

at 2 am then we woke up 4 am and rush to airport for our flight . Anyway ,

the video for this journey will be delay cuz Kenny left his digital camera at our

friend's apartment . So , stay tune for the video and i really do enjoy this

here's my review about the gathering/lecture yesterday,

The day started when brendan called me around 1130am. He will be staying in my house during his trip here. Met him in Mid Valley and then brought him over to my house. After putting his stuff in my house we had to rush to Times Square as the lunch+jamming session starts at 1pm.

Reached times square magic ring around 1235pm saw jennifer,jennifer's friend ariff,shon chong,keat how,andy and kenny. We jammed a while and then guess what our lecturer zenneth kok came and we went lunch with him. During the lunch christopher and edmund lee joined in. I talk to andy during this time showed each other some tricks. I've asked christopher to showed me some tricks but he was hesitant ;) . After the lunch we went back to magic ring for a while then proceed to the lecture place at Club De Swan after waiting Yen Loong at the entrance fo times square ;)

The lecture was awesome, hardcore sleight of hand card magic. Zenneth sleight of hand is flawless his palming, colour change,zenneth allighnment move etc and his impossible twist :ph43r: . Is so damn hard to do. Guess we needs lotsa of practice to achieve that. I manage to get myself a copy of his lecture notes and a gimmick card. Note:carson,isaac and yukiko was late for the lecture :P

The lecture end at around 630-7pm by then everybody was hungry. Me, brendan,andy and kenny decided to go for further jamming sessions in pyramid because it is near to isaac's house(going to fetch isaac on the way). but before that need to fetch yen loong in hang tuah station and shon chong at a bus station near his house.

All 5 of us me,brendan.isaac,andy and kenny reached pyramid at around 810pm, we went to have our dinner in McDonalds and continued with our jamming sessions until mcD closed at around 10pm. Then we walk to starbucks, coffee bean and the decided to settle ourselves in MTR for further jamming sessions. To cut things short the jamming sessions end at around 1230am because andy and kenny gotta go back to their friends condo. Fetched isaac,andy and kenny home and went back my hse continued my jamming session with brendan until 3-4am like that ^_^ .

All in all i had a lot of fun yesterday. man so many magic in 1 day!We took lots of pics,recordings etc. Wait till andy finish edit our vid man!

PS: Dont have enough time to jam with everybody. wanted to jam with keat how when lunch time didnt have much time there :( . Sorry :)

His palming, colour changes, one two punch, real haunted, Z.A.M., Impossible Twist, 2/3 card monte, ...

The best part is when he perform a card magic using cantonese.
I love it.

We went really crazy.
- Andy's super Asher tiwst, brendan's flourishes, my ninja rings, coin matrix, lamest ambitious card, Sze Howe fire wallet and his sponges ... and much more.

- at the end, we even perform to some security guards and blow them off.

We cam all the way back to my house.

At the very end, I just wanna say "is ok to drop your cards to dirty floor"
"IS OK" ... lol *inside joke between the 5 of us* :D :D

Zenneth's sleights and palming is almost perfect
too bad, i can only absorb around 40% of what he taught that day..
the rest need to go through the notes

Few words... Awesome... joyful.... hillarious... lol.. yeah.. that's it...

haha... no la.. ok let me break it down...

Arrived KL like 11.30am and Sze Howe showed me the way back to his house. Hung around at his house for a while then left for Times Square 12pm plus.

Arrived MR... first time seeing its newer place at Times Square... same looks like the old one but bigger which is cool. Kenny was already there... haha lol i tot he was Cardician Andy... hehe... also met Jennifer and her friend Arif, shon chong, jan etc there.

Suddenly i saw someone familiar coming in.... and i was like... eh?... isnt that Zenneth?... i said Zenneth??? he said yeah... i was hey!.... then intro myself.

Then we went off for lunch.... had some jamming there as well.. i couldnt swallow my food properly as i had to explain how to do snap change to Jennifer and talk... so much to talk and show time heehe. Sze Howe showed us some crazy 3 card monte..... and wow... cards can be examined... v clean and v powerful indeed. Zenneth performed his rezet.... which isnt much different from the original paul harris's but he had awesome patter and jokes.

After lunch, met Yen Loong arrived, then we went to Club De Swan...

Had the lecture...

OK... the lecture was great.... but as most would agree... it was v technical and abit too much for me to absorb as well... we didnt have time or space to take notes.. so basically even though he explains how he does a trick after every performance, it just went in and out of my head... at the end of the day.. cant remember anything... was just in awe at how good this guy really his. His sleights are flawless and his palming skills are great. V nice Crazy erdnase colour change. And... his pass... looks as good as it is on his video in youtube. :).

Some of the sleights taught we not easy to do... but its amazing how he can do it so well.. i like the transpo.. or the card in mid air to be sandwiched between the picture cards... awesome trick that one.

I also like the fuzed card trick with names on both sides of the selected card.

Anyway... glad i bought all his 3 lecture notes. Good to get him sign on them too :). It will last me for quite a while... :). Looking forward to reading them soon...

Lecture finish abt 6.30pm i think... then we went for dinner.... erm... Myself, Cardician Andy, Kenny, Isaac, and Sze Howe. We went to McD for dinner. Had some great time and laugther there haha. Heehehe cardician andy's new blue bikes.. got wet.... haha... and isaac was like smilling hehe.... ROFL....

Yeah.. eheh i tried to perform to Ronald McD.. ehehhe... i guess u'll see tat in the vid.

Talking abt vid we took many footages man... you'll get to see them soon.... give Cardician some time.. like a week or two la.... dont rush k. hehe. A lot of stuff to edit and make it nice.... v funny one la... hehe. Andy, I'll send you the footages I've taken in my cam to you soon... :)

erm yeah after dinner we went to MTR.... and jam there.. isaac was amazing... we alll loved his linking rings.... he was just so good ... hehe mickey mouse... :).

andy showed some cool self working tricks as well... and sze howe... playing with his fire wallet. Kenny and I... we took some footage of each other flourishing.. and doing some tricks.

Anyway... went home abt 2-3am, showered then jam with Sze Howe until like 4am. Then I told him... i cant concentrate anymore... mind like dying d.... hehe.... then we off the lights.. but still chatted hahaha... chat until like 5 or 6am i think then zzzzz...

woke up 12pm+. Went for delicious beef noodles at petaling street. Super yummy man...

Just wanna say a big thank you to Sze Howe for his great hospitality. He really knows his way around KL v well. Thanks for being our driver :).

And for the rest of you... thanks for a great time!

I guess i m late here... i did enjoy the lecture as well, and he did tell us whats the most important thing to attract the audience, the 3 things that confirm will attract them...

Now i can put a nice routine with my 3 card monte...in face, he taught us impossible twist, which i need to get down all the move, es the last change..
