Christopher Ng - June 3, 2007 04:45 PM (GMT)
its the real price, yes .its real, for the price in magic-i

being a forumite, i wonder why dont you go through the threads in mmf to gain more information?

i suppose you know where there is a place in the forum known as the market place?

have you ever heard of the magic garage?

do some research before you purchase something

anyway, i hope you are satisfied with your tiger deck
lol

PM Isaac for USPCC cards or any other magic related items, they're most definitely cheaper than the price in magic-i.

Sukyi - June 9, 2007 07:25 PM (GMT)
Well, RM60 for a BTD is the standard price for SHOPS in Malaysia. However, collectors and magicians do not actually buy... anything from shops. As the guys have already mentioned, Isaac will get you a cheaper price. I don't actually know Isaac's pricing, but before he started selling, I got a lot of my cards from Singapore and every off occasion, I'd have a relative come from America so, ordering off ellusionist/penguin magic/etc (provided you have a credit card) would save you a buck or two.

I dont have a credit card im only 15,i ask my mom and dad 2 use their credit card they wont let me us it.Might ask my brother in australia buy it for me or others...

Yukiko - June 10, 2007 01:34 PM (GMT)
you dont need a credit card to buy things from isaac=)
all you have to do is deposit the money into his account=)

Sukyi - June 10, 2007 05:18 PM (GMT)
I mentioned credit cards for online sites.

However, since you don't have one, Isaac would probably be your safest bet.

its more like....30+ maybe...

Kam - June 25, 2007 04:40 AM (GMT)
:|

60 ringgit?!?

Christopher Ng - June 25, 2007 05:59 AM (GMT)
A good lesson to be learnt

I believe most of us here started kena ripped off first before we advance into next stage

like..paying 11~12 aussie$ for something worth less than rm 5, ok i dunno the exact value but its cheap..... >.<!
( and i thought it was a good deal and i bought 3 ! )

Nadzri - June 25, 2007 06:03 AM (GMT)
jesus :o rm60? i guess it is normal for magic shops. since they have to take in place rental and stuff into account. Online stuff would be cheaper but that also depends on shipping costs, etc. Judging from the posts, the best person to ask seems to be isaac :) i usually get mine for personal use from E, for i think half the price.

Just take it as a lesson learnt buddy :)

Nadzri u living in the states?
Getting from E is not a prob but shipping kills, so most direct way is tru isaac.

Nadzri - June 25, 2007 06:45 AM (GMT)
ummm...i live in Brunei. right next door to you guys. i usually order decks with other stuff to save on shipping. compared to magic shops i think it's still pretty cheap.

i go for online magic dealers and sometimes EBAY...

Video games destroyed my education... Ebay destroyed my life!

Hahaha. Just Kidding. I'm not that bad with my time/money management. ;)

Brendan Low - June 25, 2007 09:14 AM (GMT)
Isaac's the best person to get cards in MY... period.

And perhaps the best person to order any magic products too.... :)

Ebay destroyed my life!

:'(

Well it almost did screw me up too hahaha...

(In an attempt to link this post to relate to the topic) You guys could also look into Ebay for those collectors items and such. Usually they go below the market price, and vice versa.

Support your local (non-pirating, non-lying, honest) magic distributor!

Honestly, even i had something similar happen to me before i joined this forum. I bought my svengali (card-board/non-bicycle) cards from Magic-i for RM 30, and i realised i had wasted my money. However, that was a wonderful expereience as i then learnt about the forum, and a wonderful wonderful guy named Isaac.Trust me, without Isaac, most of us will have holes in our pockets. So next time around,PM Isaac and find out from him first and he's a nice guy to do business with.

Thanks Isaac,u rock.Keep in touch.K then, all the best in the future when you buy any magic related items at all.

A price is something you pay when you feel that it is worth it.

If you found out later that it could have been bought at a cheaper price, you should not feel cheated cause at that time, you felt that the price you had paid was worth it. That is why you paid for it.

Please take into consideration when do your purchase in magic shop.
1. They need pay monthly rental. High rental specially in shopping mall.
2. High shipping cost specially sent by courier service from USA.
3. High custom tax. Every regular item 30%, DVD 40%. (according to my experience & information from Fedex)

So if you can afford to get a thing you like there, why not just enjoy your stuff rather than just making complain. Without your support, those shop unable to survive in long run. End up all close down :(.
