Thanks for the advices, really good for beginners
sounds so professional.haha
For me, hands on practice and try and error practice works the most
For example, an ACR ,i can do it perfectly during practice, but when it comes to real spectators, i tend to get nervous and kept worrying whether they see my DL, my pass, my tilt...etc. so practicing with real audience will be the best to boost confident and presentation skill
even we can rehearse our patter and presentation a thousand times, when it comes to live audience, in many circumstances you might face many funny people, which makes your mind go blank and dunno how to react..
when practicing with live audience, we will learn how to response to changes, spontaneously change our presentation, etc
It is also good to have a partner to practice together, so that we can know the moves we execute in others point of view, especially the angle
I got to agree adequate rest is important for a good magic performance / practice, when i am tired, i tend to make alot of mistakes and forget the moves...
Ha! I guess I miss that live audience stuff out too! People with no experience on performing to real audience really get nervous and make a lot of mistake. Me for example, I am now just a beginner, I seldom perform to stranger often.
I still remember when I first perform to a stranger( a little kid) my DL just mess up!Luckily that little kid didn't know what happen. At the end he still stunt at there. So my own advice is practice in front of little children more often as you can learn the real experience without much worry those kids will know what happen when you make a mistake.
>> Practice daily. Practice 7 days a week. Never skip a day, ever.
Wow... :!!: That's impressive...
Good
Yeah..........practice.....practice...........and practice!!!
I remember myself practising in my car during traffic jams, during breakfast, lunch & dinner. Even when I went for my big nature call in toilet, I grab a pack of cards to practice.
Caution: Do be careful when you do it in front of kids. They might just grab things from you and that's the last thing you want. I know this for a fact as my daughter always goes down and look at both of my hands when I show stuff to her. Kids mind..........so innocent yet so many questions!!
