As promised.. a flourish video using Local made cards... a beer deck.... Carlsberg deck.

I believe Christopher Ng mentioned abt this deck. Im not sure if it is the same though. But yeah... its pretty good but super slippery. Cards are v thin and they have the v oily felling as well... no idea why. Hard to get a grip on it but still managable.

I filmed this last night and I got the song for it today.

I believe it's the theme song in the Carlsberg Ad? Im not sure.

ANyway check it out and hope u like it. SO yeah... dont think u always need Bikes or Tallys... u can use this card as well...

Thinking abt that.. i dont mind MMF cards with this Carlberg quality. hehe

Note: this video is just a v simple video that i didnt spend much time working on the editing part. Its just to show that it's possible to flourish with this deck of cards... not easy but possible.

those carlsberg cards do look kinda strange...different to the ones i have..
maybe coz mine are old...
and they sure as hell DON"T fan, and are not thick....
you sure those were made in Malaysia?

Hi Amane. Mine I beleive is the latest produced one. A lady got it as a gift from someone early this yr. Oneday she wanted me to perform for her but I had no deck with me at that time... and then she said she got a deck... then she went to grab this Carlsberg deck. It wasnt opened and I had to open it up.

The deck when first opened is like super dupa slippery and man... so hard to handle. But i manage to pull off some cool tricks after breaking into the deck within like 2-3 mins. During the performance to her and her frens... i began to love the deck and I asked.. can I keep this? I quite like it. And she said... er.... someone gave it to her... I was like ok... nvm then.. but she said... no keep it. I think u have more use for it than I do. I said.. u sure? she said yeah with a smile....

So there u have it... how i got the deck.

Im not sure where it is produced. I will check the box out more clearly later tonite. All I know is it was probably produced this yr for the CNY advertising, I think.

my mom recently opened a club/pub in kl(no no no... i won't tell you people which one). If I'm not mistaken, carlsberg is her biggest sponsor. I've seen the decks and I was surprised that carlsberg would make such good cards. haha... but yes, i was annoyed by how slippery they were.

about the video, it wasn't bad. music was a little cliche though. the moves were all pretty simple and classic, with the exception of maybe one or two? but yes, flourishing is always eye candy anyway.

Anyone has contact with carlsberg ? so can inquire where they printed their cards.

Good work, but I've never particulaly enjoyed webcam videos- especially those that keep the webcam in the same place, as it gets boing and evidently uninteresting. On the other hand, you performed the moves contained well and I didn't see a problem- I just wished you performed more adventurous moves! =p

Where the heck is my TRILOGY.... sh*T!

For those who are interested in getting hold of the deck, it was available in a sundry shop called Vie Onn, Section 14 PJ(Next to TGIF) and also a sundry shop in Sunway Lagoon Perdana(the row of shop houses next to the traffic lights). All these was about a month ago. I think they should still have it. Not very popular decks after CNY.

I bought mine in Vie Onn.........and if I remember correctly, the price was RM 1.80. As for the other one in Sunway, I saw it during one of my sundry trips there.

Yeah, there were a few cartons in my mom's office yesterday. I just took 2 for myself. For collection's sake. Not that I really wanted them or anything. I wouldn't turn that into profit. Too much hassle for too little profit :P

the deck looks really good. i got a carlsberg deck also which is the normal green colour back. but i prefer jaws deck because it feels much better than carlsberg :P . The video was smooth, suits to the topic very relaxing kinda feeling when watching :)

Nadz...Tivo 2 is just crazy man. Not really a fan of it coz I can never see myself not flashing it in real life. Tivo 1 is just an awesome trick to practice and do. Working on the way it was taught in Genii mag/Trilogy... the dribble one. :P
