how much does dove usually cost....
and is it hard to train them?

You can get it from most of the pet shops that sell birds, just ask them for Ringneck doves. I got my first pair of doves few years back at the pet store in China Town, until now I still buy all my dove supplies (seeds, vitamins, grits, etc) there. However, it was really difficult to find a pretty and young dove which I think it'll be easier to train with. During that time, I asked the shop owner to call me when young doves (few months old) are available.

But before you get them, make sure you really have space and time to take care your doves. It is very important to research as much as you can on dove care prior to getting a dove. There are books and video out there to teach you how to take care and train you dove.
