Title: Mmf Real Name Campaign
Description: Using real names

xron - July 10, 2007 04:53 PM (GMT)
With reference to the above topic, I believe it was agreed that all of us should use our real names in this forum to be more professional.

Found a posting that did not comply to this. The link below shows an unknown name posting in this forum.

Isn't this contradicting the rules of MMF?

We are encouraging users to use their real name wherever possible. That's why its an ongoing campaign.
Somehow no one ever reads the rules before they register.
Just hardly anyone ever fills up their user profile like stated in the rules.

If you force someone to use his real name when he doesn't want to, he could just make up any name he wants ....unless we also wanna start taking down IC nos.
How are we to verify if its a real name or not..just like yours, you say your name is xron, we give you the benefit of the doubt that that is your name.

Firstly, I did post an introduction of myself in here. Also, if you have checked, I am using my company's email as correspondance and although my english name is not there, my surname in the email ID says it all.

Thus, I do not believe I need any benefit of the doubt on my name.

xron,

I'm not picking on you. I'm just stating the stance we adopt when it comes to real names and nicknames and I'm was just using your name as an example because you brought it up.

I sincerely apologise if my post gave you the wrong impression or offended you.

No worries mate. I can understand your point of view.

Cheers!
