Title: The Spring
Description: Spring it forward or spring it backward?

Jeremy Fu - July 18, 2007 10:58 AM (GMT)
Hey guys ? You guys springs the cards forward from the tips of you fingers of backwards from your thumb ? Or you guys spring it diagonally ?

I spring it forward

Brendan Low - July 18, 2007 11:18 AM (GMT)
Backwards..... :D

WHen I first started like 4-5 yrs back... it was forwards....

But I changed to backwards, off the thumb after awhile. Backwards spring are better IMO..

Whichever you feel most comfortable with is the best.

Jeremy Fu - July 18, 2007 12:06 PM (GMT)
Hmm... I like forward spring because I can do it like..erm you know.. Spring the cards out from your right hand and grap it from your left;in the meantime, you can move your 2 hands from the left part to the right part of your body, perfectly done it finish with your left palm (with cards) coming back to your right. This is like how Jess Mcbribe does it, he does it the forward way. I just unsure whether the backward way can do it or not

Yups... good answer Amane.. hehe :P

There's no right or wrong in flourishing...

Amongst the college gang, Isaac and I always compete for better springs! haha... His springs look far nicer, but in pictures, mine look better. His is off the thumb, mine is off the index/middle fingers, BUT Chris has a nicer looking spring(but shorter than Isaac's) and his springs do straight and you can't tell where it comes off.

Ultimately, I still agree with whichever you're most comfortable with! ;)

I don't do springs. But when i spring is either it looked reallly weird or some of my cards will be dropping on the floor. Often i don't like to spoil my cards so everytime i want to spring cards i will take a deck from chris  . I think is really your preference whether u wan forward of backward :)

Christopher Ng - July 19, 2007 04:37 PM (GMT)
I'm so gonna spring your red tally-ho next time SzeHowe... haha :P

Lets rewind time to when i learnt my spring

Previously i only do dribble, then Edmund told me that Isaac's dribble is so different (saw in magic-i, when i was still beginner noob), he squeezes his cards!
then i tried to imitate that, and eventually, dang! i learnt it
After that only know that is called the card spring..hehe

most people spring either backward or forward, but i prefer to spring my cards from the middle, me gripping the opposite edges of the deck, like how most of us do the dribble

Sukyi - July 20, 2007 03:20 AM (GMT)
i'll spring your disney deck!

Christopher Ng - July 21, 2007 01:22 PM (GMT)
What is longer? What is shorter? duration??
But i can go higher.. haha
Or i can adjust the length and height according to your WILL

Wan me spring shorter or longe3r, lower or higher, above ur head or below ur waist anything.. haha

Flexibility is very vital nowadays :P

I think it's not about flexbility. I think is more like the method of how you let the cards go from your very hand, your timing. If hand let go too fast or too slow, cards tend to like fly out in a stack. my 2 cents :!!:

i think he meant flexibility in the length he can spring his cards... not physical flexibility...

Christopher Ng - July 21, 2007 08:00 PM (GMT)
My ''flexibilty'' reply more towards his 18sx matter.. since Jeremy was refering to shorter or longer issue... haha
Flexible, can do it anywhere, anytime :P

I mean card spring la!
All kotor kotor!

Jeremy Fu - July 21, 2007 08:16 PM (GMT)
