I think pickpocket is a great kind of entertaiment if you perform it very well. Sometimes I just try to do this to my friend if I have a chance but not 100% success.Sometimes I manage to steal something but sometimes I failed but I keep trying.I dont have any pickpocket DVD for now but I got one E-Book.For DVD,why dont you have a look at Mastering Pickpocketing by Byrd & Coats or Encyclopedia of PickPocketing.Encyclopedia of PickPocketing have four different volume and each volume teach you to steal different kind of object. You can check both DVD at Penguin Magic.

If you are really into it, buy everything that's regarding pickpocketing in the market... However for starter, try Greg Wilson's On The Spot DVD.

He turned back when the gal placed the note in ANY of her pocket, and that guy can actually steal it away!!!

Most girls dont have much on them... Normally, hand bags/purses/etc... so if you steal from their bags... impact is smaller... Also, if I have my phone in my pocket... girls clothes are tighter... it's rather hard to steal without me feeling it...

You can find your answer in Ricci Dunn's book.

Not only girls, a lot of Asian guy don't have much to steal either
due to the way we dress are different...
You hardly find Asian guy wear tie, coat, cuff link for dinner
The items that are easily found and stolen are watches and wallets.
You must not know how to select the right audience but you need to know
how to find/at least creat the right time to do the steal.

For the pass 4 days, a prodcution team follow me to do a video recording
of me doing live magic in restaurant, hotels, street, bistro...
I only manage to find 2 persons who is suitable for me to do my
full pickpocketing act (watches, wallets, tie, pen...).

impact is smaller...

Sometimes I didn't expect them to react that big but
they just reacted as if really great happen and keep on laughing.
Hence, whether the responce/impact is big or small it all depends on that individual.
