For book,Mark Wilson complete course in magic has a good sponge ball routine using four sponge ball.I,m still using his routine if I want do sponge ball magic using a table.Another routine that I use is from David Stone.David Stone sponge ball routine only require 2 ball and can be done stand up.You can learn this from "David Stone Real Secret of Magic" DVD.You can check it at Ellusionist.com.

Another suggestion is maybe you could buy Sponge ball magic book by royal magic .I think it is more for beginner. You will learn sleights like The Finger Palm, The Thumb Clip, The Basic Vanish, The Pinch, and many more.BTW,I dont have this book,so I dont know if its good or not.I just Suggest it because I think its for beginner.

Another new sponge ball DVD can now be pre-order at penguin magic. This DVD is by Jay Noblezada. Its look interesting. In this DVD Jay Noblezada will cover many things with sponge ball. I think you should try this. You will get DVD plus Sponge balls.

Muhd Azim is spot on. I still do a modified routine from Mark Wilson's CCIM (modified to do standing up)

Also if u are getting spongeballs, get the Goshman Supersoft ones, they are softer and can compress more. I use the 2 inch ones, but you can get 1.5 inch ones if your hands are smaller.
