I just want to share my thought about Stigmata by Wayne Houchin.I get this trick because it look so cool and freaky. When I watch it,I was so happy and satisfied because the method behind it is simple. So,this is the review of this trick:
1.First this trick is great because the method is simple as I already mention above. You can do this trick at any time and any place. There is no setup or preparation. It is totally impromtu.I like this kind of trick because you can focus on your performance part.
2.I also like this DVD because Wayne Houchin is good teacher. He teach you everything you need to know in order to perform this trick well. You will also get to see wayne houchin perform this trick few times to real people on the street. In this DVD,you will learn three different way of performing stigmata. At the end you can watch Wayne Houchin and Banachek talk about Stigmata.
As a conclusion,I can say that this trick is amazing. It is suitable for all level of magician whether you are beginner or a pro.I rate this trick 8/10.

it's a great effect! the reactions are always great and there's just so much you can do. be careful of hecklers who decide not to write anything on the paper. it has happened before.
i must emphasize that you should really be careful though. if you don't do it right, you could make your arm bleed... and i know boys can be a little rough ;) haha

Hehe, stigmata is lazyman trick, i do it when i am challenged
But, i heard of a bad news from simon 2 days ago that a guy behind me saw how i did it during my performance, and learnt the secret of it..
My bad for not caring the angle, i dint aware that he was observing the trick too...sad
Omg i feel so bad!

Stigmata is a great way to reveal the thought of card, name or number.
When doing Stigmata, try to create some misdirection when doing the "move". Normally I would ask the audience to hide the paper or card somewhere. All the attention will be on the paper or card.

It's an effect that I would never miss out performing at any parties and dinners event.
I never seems to fail performing it, and the reaction I get that they are totally blown away. Some even scream... but it's a girl for sure~!
Normally I would perform it as my very last effect when I'm about to say "Goodbye" as I wanted them to remember me the rest of his entire life.
I highly recommend it, rating 9/10.
I would say it's an effect that you definetly don't wanna miss out~!
P/S: I believe it's not a Magician's Fooler, but who knows? ;)
Cheers,

This trick is great but I agree that it have some bad point.Like Ace said,You need misdirection to do the secret move.Usually I just did this trick to 3-5 person at a time.If you do it to too many people,it will be more difficult to do the secret move as some of them may watch you.BTW,I still love this trick.

Yup, it is not easy to perform stigmata when you are surrounded.
If used correctly stigmata can look like real magic. The best thing is it could be done impromptu.
The last time I did it was in a chalet last week. My friends are sharing some ghost stories. One of the girls said some ghosts can make markings appear on parts of your body.
After she mentioned that I performed stigmata. The whole room just went nuts.

PERFECT SET UP!!!
I've only performed it a few times, but I've seen guys perform it A LOT. I somehow don't think i get the reaction... I think mainly because I'm a girl. ALSO, for me... once again, because I'm a girl, STIGMATA HURTS!!... I know, I know... I'm a whimp!

Ace,You are lucky to get that situation :!!:. I hope I will come across a situation like that one day.I,m sure your friend go crazy when you perform it.

Haha yup! I was really lucky!! When she said "markings on the body" I was like "YEAH MAN!!" :!!:
For Stigmata you won't have to worry much about the technical part of the trick, hence you can focus on your performance.
Stigmata is simple to execute, but not easy to perform.
I think good performance is the key to get great reactions out of Stigmata. Put in some "effort" when you are performing it, don't make the whole effect seem too easy and simple.
Pretend that you are trying hard to get the markings on your wrist to form the thought of number or word.
Very often I'll say things like "This may not work.... sometimes I just get markings that look weird, sometimes the markings don't resemble the thought of number at all... Thank god it works this time..."
This will make the whole effect more believable.
If you just say things like “Hey look your card appears on my hand!” it sort of cheapens the whole effect.

Sukyi, stigmata no pain la.. if u know it correctly..
All gals say it hurts...which i dont agree loh
It may seems like it hurts, but actually not..haha.. perfect for u coz u are so fair... diff for me coz i am dark :P
Stigmata is genius effect, at least, no one doubt how the marking appeared on my hand...
10/10 :)

I agree that this is a very cool effect... you can get very good reactions for this... I think that the performance is very important... so that they really believe what is happening...

I agree with Christopher that this trick is perfect for people who have white skin because the red mark will appear more clear and easy to see.For me,my skin is a little bit dark and sometimes the red mark does not appear clearly and I need to guide the spectator to see it.

out of all the cool visual magic tricks out there, i give stigmata 10/10, why?.....the people i have done this for now think that i am not human...instead, i m a species of another race...not of this earth.......
people also think i practise voodoo, black magic etc....
perfect example is my uncle, he is a very superstitious guy, he use to tell us ghost stories at night, especially bout how if strange markings were to appear on ones body........that person is in trouble.... i use to get so scared listening to this story.
so one day, we were bringing up old memories, when he started telling the story again, so i did stigmata on him......next thing u know, he starts cursing, and now everytime he visits, he would always look at me in a weird way...... B)
so, to sum things up, stigmata....AWESOME.....
p.s, thank God for people like Banecheck and Wayne Houchin
