Last Saturday, when i was shopping at times square..there was an event that held by one local tv channel..the event is full with crowd..food testing, lucky draw and even there is a clown there do a balloon sculpture for the kids..but there is a young magician..taking a balloon from the clown and do the balloon swallow trick in front of the public....after he did that, there is one kid around 5-6 yrs old try to follow what the young magician did also..luckily his parents stop him on doing that...
is good that perform in front of public..but it's also important that the trick that you are going to perform to public..if he want to swallow the balloon in front of public at least give some advice first...don't just did that in front of kids....
It's me. :ph43r:
I was caught off guard by my ex-clients to perform for them but I didnt bring my props. I refused to perform initially, but i gave in after they ask for a quick show less than 5 mins, the only thing available for me was balloons.
What a big mistake caused by my sugar rush.
Guys hope everybody will learn form my mistake.
There is certain effects for specific situation. If the stage is not appopriate to perform the particular effect, just DON'T PERFORM.
Here is my sincere apology to all the magicians and to everyone who's troubled because of my performance on that day
Shame on me for what I've done. For having an ego larger than the size of whole Africa, and did something heretical just to satisfy that bloody ego of mine.
I shouldn't have performed the balloon swallowing trick without realising the presence of kids. I'm very disappointed with myself for making this mistake.

Thanks pal for letting me know.
It takes a "big man" to admit a mistake. I greatly respect Lai forhis post. Lai has a lot of sugar in his system :D - that is what makes him Lai! He is a really nice guy and a serious magician and I think we all make mistakes. What is important is that we learn from them.
I once borrowed a roll of double-taper, which was already held by a friend of mine.. then I "swallowed" it deliberately facing toward his 3 and a half year old brother and "vomited" it back out. I expected him to go "Mama!!" (LOL :P) But it went different, he immediately took the roll and attempted to follow the trick by starting to force the roll into his mouth.. ergh! the roll was even bigger than his mouth. Pathetic me :o I had to ask her sister to put that roll away.
I've learned something from there ;)
