iI've read about it in Harian Metro yesterday..
Is it true that Genting really called him to become one of the judges for the magic competition?

Hey, it says in the article he's not going to be the judge, so fear not people!!
There's only 2 possibilities from this :
1) He's really interested in magic, as a hobbyist (quoting the article). That itself doesn't mean that magic in Malaysia is going down-hill!!
2) It's a publicity stunt (which i highly doubt since magic is a niche market, where in the world would he find publicity in that?). And maybe magic might be in jeopardy from going over-exposed.
I see the article more as an advice for the younger generation, aka his fans; saying magic is better than doing negative stuff.He is an idol and a role-model after all. Which is a good thing for us, since there are still some narrow-minded people out there who thinks magic is some bad, voo-doo, mumbo-jumbo stunt.

He will be a judge, if he sees the show. EVERYONE who watches the show is a judge and given a voting ticket for him to vote his favourite as the winner.
There will be a few thousand judges. What is Mawi talking about? Heck I was a judge too, and I wasn't too busy to turn it down. Hah!
