Title: Card Tricks Are Awe-some!
Description: Shock & awe

Raynour - November 19, 2007 02:38 PM (GMT)

Card tricks are the best tricks i found so far, you don't need a stage
you don't need so much money and easy to learn, and the best of all
is the effects, all you need is a litle practice and you'll be fine.

The funny thing is, after i perform card tricks to my friend's and foe's.
They kept asking me questions like " how did you do that?" "Can you teach me that" "where did you learn this stuff" and others, but the funny thing is,
when i refused to tell the how it works (i always refuse to that) they kept thinking on and on and on again, on how the trick work, and finally when they exhausted, they assume that i used some kind of "geanie\JIN" , and some of them actually think that i'm a Master in silat (ilmu batin of course) and some older folks think i some-sort-of "Membela khadam" and others

FUNNY!!

The point is, card tricks rock dude, the effects are Awesome, again Awesome!!

hahaha...i agree with u man... i like cards too...

Yea..i get that "r u using some sort of jin??"
hahahaha! real funny....

they sometimes really think that coz of my style (kinda gothic..lol)
but i have to let them knoe its not jin coz being a Muslim.

but i juz say somethings in life are unexplainable..hahaha

what about coin? coin can perform anywhere too. don't need table. and can stun the audience well too( any trick can actually stun the audience. depend on your performance only) coin win card by 1 i think. you can borrow coins from the audience. :D

Adlan - November 19, 2007 04:52 PM (GMT)
Mindreading needs nothing but a piece of paper and a pen/pencil. Or sometimes, nothing at all.

:D

chern4ever - November 20, 2007 03:24 AM (GMT)
card tricks no nid table :)
and i think coin trick doesnt stun me.... :P
no offence... its true....
i agree card tricks are the best... but only when not on stage and have a deck of cards
mind reading are cool too :)

Muhd Hilmi - November 20, 2007 08:45 AM (GMT)
perform a trick with cards and read their mind on wat card they chose n produce a coin dat has their card written on the face of the coin.

This doesnt need table also  :!!:

CardicianAndy - November 20, 2007 09:08 AM (GMT)
Wow , you assuming like what you said is the best . Card tricks doesn't use table ? Then what is trick that is so awesome that you perform ? May i know , thanks . I would love to see your great performance too . Hope to hear from you soon .

chern4ever - November 20, 2007 09:25 AM (GMT)
 sorry if you feel offended.. >.<
but there are many tricks dat doesnt require a table.
not necessary a card trick.
card trick dat doesnt need card trick dat can make the spectator impress easily are 2 card monte i guess.
of cuz every type of trick have their pro and cons, wat i means i tat i feel card trick is better. yet i did not say coin trick is small and tiny. just tat i am not very impressed with it.
afterall its my own opinion, so dont have to mind much about it
peace V, no offence to coin trick lovers k?
sorry :D

CardicianAndy - November 20, 2007 10:16 AM (GMT)
I no offence in any field of magic , just dont agree you said that Card do not need a table . Nothing more than that . Anyone can have their own suggestion . :D

chern4ever - November 20, 2007 10:23 AM (GMT)
i saw mistakes on my previous post!!!
card trick that doesnt need *tables*... lol
anyway, there are many card tricks that need table too but i think most people will think that the probability of controlin the cards on the table is higher than on the hands.
people tends to think the table have something to do wif the trick
thats wat i always use to think when i was young.

CardicianAndy - November 20, 2007 08:11 PM (GMT)
Then you start to change your point of view . Lots of great magic you can do with a table beside you . When you sit down with a relaxing position and talk with a nice patter and give a good showmanship ? What more to say ? People will just amazed and no one will ever think you trick connected to (Em , TABLE ? )

Brendan Low - November 20, 2007 11:59 PM (GMT)
Card tricks rock! No doubt.. haha

Anyway... talking abt tables and no tables...

Welll.... there are quite a number of stand up effects one can do with cards... think "street magic tricks"... think "sankey tricks"... think "tivos"... many.. la

However.. there are enormous amt of card tricks out (can check out Expert at Card table book, or Ammar series) there which requires a table or somewhere the magician can set aside his cards or deal them to etc. A magic mat is always handy to carry around.

So yeah.. conclusion is Card tricks rock! :)

Card effects have the potential to be powerful and depending on the presentation, the overall effect can be elevated from a simple 'trick' to an incredible miracle.

For example, the Biddle trick: the effect itself is great, but coupled with the right presentation it makes the impact a whole lot different.

For the finale of this effect, I usually magically 'throw' the card into the deck in their hands. This method is good and gets the reactions.

But there was once I tried a different way to end it. I said "You remember the famous effect by David Copperfield where he walks through the great wall? I'm going to show you a small scale version of it.." then I held the cards in my hand above the audience hands closed around the deck and waved slowly close to the hands..then shook it fast, all the while showing a serious look as I was concentratin hard on the cards.. and then I stopped abruptly.. and asked "Did you feel something?.. As if the molecules of the card have slowly moved through your hand into the deck?.. Take a look.." The deck is spread and her chosen card appears face up in the middle.. and tats when the rest of the audience thought I was possessed or something  and one of them even tried to exorcise me! :!!: jokingly ,ofcourse. LoL)

In short, the power of card effects, in fact any effect whether cards, coins, everyday objects etc lies in its presentation. Of course, which tools of magic we choose depends on our preference & style (as for me, I luv cards! :D)

Cheers

Wow thats an interesting and cool presentation of biddle...

Ya I agree with you that card tricks ROCK !!!

Using and not using tables actually in my opinion is up to the performer... Some do card magic with a table some do it without it actually all depends on your style... As for me I prefer doing it standing up as then people won't get the impression that I'm trying anything funny...

But as i said its actually up to you...

Just giving my 2cents....

Jeremy Fu - November 22, 2007 01:36 PM (GMT)
Ermm.. card tricks do rock

however, now i find coin tricks rocker..

perhaps chern u never seen the "pro" coin tricks routine before so you havent really amazed by wat the round metals things can do..

@_@" coin tricks almost 100% are need sleight of hand skills..

omg hard.. still in the process of learning and mastering various types of vanishes and productions..

chern4ever - November 23, 2007 09:21 AM (GMT)
hrmm mayb.. but i noe coin trick requires 100% of sleight of hand.
there were once i practising muscle pass, gave up d :P

Raynour - November 23, 2007 01:38 PM (GMT)
Hey guys, i overherd (more like overlooked) you posts, all about those card and coin tricks, and no doubt it's very interesting.

Is there a trick that combined both card and coins together, that would wouldnt just ROCK, it may ROLL as well, think of it, a hybrid trick between card and coins (C&C)

It's AWESOME!!

Victor Ng - November 23, 2007 02:25 PM (GMT)
do coin matrix include in that? the one with 4 cards covering 4 coins :D

chern4ever - November 23, 2007 04:47 PM (GMT)
