I recently attracted to mental magic and i decided to learn it, during my studies(little bit of studies) i found a term "DUAL REALITY" if i'm not mistaken, the book does'nt brief it clearly about it, and i wondered if somebody here who knows about it,

Dual Reality is a concept used in Mentalism (and sometimes Magic). It is a term coined by Kenton Knepper, if I'm not mistaken.

In essence, it is a concept where a volunteer/spectator experiences a different effect compared to the audience members. The ultimate value of such an effect is primarily presented upon the audience members, whereas to the volunteer on-stage, the effect would be slightly minimal, although not to the extent of diminishing the amazement factor.

A good example would be Derren Brown's effect "R*m***sc**ce" (I'm self-censoring here).

Another example would be "PK T**c**s", but I suppose that's to a lesser extent.

I know it's difficult to explain, but that's the best I can do.

Also, if you have the guerilla guide to loops from ellusionist, the one with daniel garcia has an effect that uses the concept of dual reality....Have a look and you will see what the effect is like...
