Hi Eugie,

To be honest, your situation similar like me. :) - I have no master and have to learn by my own.

I normally purchase books as I believe books can help me to gain more knowledge as in the future I would like to become an author (hopefully) to author magic books, etc.

Books have to read a lot in order for you to know which the effects belongs to the originator, concepts used, history, etc. This is also known as 'CREDITS'.

Some magic books I read the author does not credits t the originator and I think it's UNETHICAL issues. :(

As you can see, Malaysia is not a country that craze with magic stuffs, unlike US, UK, and Japan, there are many great magicians there.

As I believe, one day hopefully Malaysia will be born more and more magicians here which can give lecture, conventions, etc. That would be AWESOME!!!

Best Wishes,
Andrew Loh

Same i learnt it the hard way too... started with magic books and then slowly got into vids. I prefer vids of course but books are great too ONLY if the explanations are detailed and great. I guess books are great when u are already a season magician and know all the terms and slieghts there are.

Yeah, its great to see there are some malaysian magicians around which are true to the art. i just hope if ever magic gets really popular in malaysia, it will still be performed by genuine magicians, those that follow the magic code and respect other magicians and creators.

Yeah we should as a team organise outings and events for charity and all. its a great way to entertain and brighten those less fortunates. Andrew u know any other magicians in melaka? we should meet up :)

Hi MagicB,

Yeah! I know 1 uncle which he was a stage performer. But, he is not really into close-up stuffs and he does not perform card magic much.

If you love to meet him, of course and sure, I would glad to introduce him to you so that we can share our experience together. It's a valuable source of learning.

I believe magic is a never learning ending process, until we old still there are some new concepts and sleights will come up.

The true goal is to have FUN and HAPPY together. That's make our magic learning meaningful and fun.

Best,
Andrew Loh
